Telecommunications and Regulatory Authority explores best corporate communication practices with Kuwait's CITRA
UAE, 3 June, 2016 - The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) recently held a meeting with a high-level delegation from the Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) of Kuwait to present TRA’s advanced strategies and latest approaches in corporate communication. The exchange of experiences and knowledge was part of the TRA’s commitment to promote joint initiatives among the federal entity’s counterparts in the region and the world.
The Kuwait delegation reviewed the TRA Corporate Communications Department’s current practices and commended its communications plan, which aims to strengthen effective communication with its target audience and achieve the desired outcome. The parties outlined a ideas and suggestions focused on crafting an ideal communication content such press and media content, brochures and leaflets, campaigns and website content, noting the importance of developing a solid relationship between the TRA and the society.
During the meeting, Ahlam Abdulrahman Al Feel, Director for Corporate Communication at the Corporate Communication Department of the TRA, has presented the federal entity’s strategic annual plan and explained the communication strategies being used by the TRA to communicate with this audiences using social media channels and send TRA’s key messages to all customers in a transparent and clear manner.
Al Feel commented: “This coordination meeting is in line with the TRA’s continuous efforts to jointly work with our counterparts in the region, opening new opportunities and learn from each other’s experiences, as well exchange information and trends related to our areas of expertise within the sector. The telecommunications sector in the region is witnessing an unprecedented development, pushing governments to develop new media and institutional communication strategies that conform to global trends. We look forward to such a meeting as this has become an ideal platform to study our current approaches to communication as challenges in an interconnected world, especially in a knowledge-based economy. The growth in telecommunications has led to the creation of a competitive environment where there are a lot of ways the government can communicate with its stakeholders. We seek to further establish solid foundations to promote the collaboration with Kuwait CITRA in the future, as a commitment to review the best practices and support our visions of ensuring all administrative services rendered are of high quality, efficiency and transparency standards.”
