EastNets appoints new Chief Technology Officer

Dubai, UAE, 25 September 2016: EastNets, a global provider of compliance, payment and Cloud solutions for the Financial Services industry, has announced the appointment of Mr. Teunis Robbert de Vries as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer. Strongly regarded as an IT professional with 28 years of cross cultural experience in IT innovations, de Vries' appointment is expected to help usher EastNets' solutions to the next level while also developing a technology roadmap that will oversee the company's long term technology vision and direction.  

Over the last 28 years, Teunis has worked in Malaysia, Netherlands, China, Sweden, Germany and the USA--occupying various top positions in industry leading organizations. He has previously served as CTO for Assetgrip, CTO, Executive Director for Development and Vice President for Software, Services and Infrastructure at All Options International and as CIO. De Vries is also credited for the development of a 100 per cent owned high speed market making software trading systems, ultra-low latency networks and 200 + servers in various co-locations close to exchanges worldwide.

De Vries has also worked as an Advisor & Strategist with Docdata Payments, He also held the post of Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Board Member of Intrum Justitia BV, where he was responsible for Information Strategy and IT departments in 22 European countries--developing business KPI’s, introducing Balance Scorecard in Netherlands and ad hoc financial reports, creating one IT group out of 22 IT islands, developing IJ Call Center Benchmark on debt collections across seven regions, trend analysis and variance. De Vries has also served as an Executive Partner at Microsoft Solutions and also at Accenture BV, and as Director Gateway Technology Development at Oracle Corporation. De Vries holds two Masteral Degrees--one in Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam - Netherlands and another one in Business Administration from Webster University - Netherlands.
