• Continuous pouring of over 19,793 cubic meters of concrete for 42 hours with 600 plus skilled workers undertaking the job in multiple shifts
• Gulf Asia Contracting, undertakes the AED 600 Million GEEPAS Tower Project in Arjan, Al Barsha. The concrete for the project was provided by Unibeton Ready Mix and Chawla Architectural and Consulting Engineers is the Project Consultant

Dubai, UAE, September 27, 2016:   GEEPAS Tower, owned by Western International Group, along with project contractor Gulf Asia Contracting, accomplished a stellar milestone in the history of the UAE’s construction sector on 9th September, 2016.  In a milestone achievement, GEEPAS Tower and GAC, with the support of Unibeton Ready Mix and Chawla Architectural and Constructing Engineers, completed the Largest Continuous Concrete Pour ever undertaken in the world, underlining their strong competencies and achieving a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title. 

The project was undertaken by GAC for the GEEPAS Tower by Western International Group in Arjan, Al Barsha. More than 19,793 cubic meters of concrete was poured over a continuous period of 42 hours with 600 plus workers working in multiple shifts round-the-clock. The concrete was delivered by Unibeton Ready Mix, which engaged more than 300 Transit Mixers making more than 2500 trips from more than 3 plants to deliver the concrete required for the project. The concrete pouring was carried out by massive installations of 14 concrete pumps on site with an additional 5 pumps on stand-by. More than 3000 tonnes of steel has been used and 150,000 Man Hours have been put into constructing the raft of the building.

The event was efficiently coordinated by the officials of Western International Group and GAC with Mr. Ajit Xavier, Senior Projects Manager of GEEPAS: Mr. Suprabhas B, Director of Projects, Chawla Architectural and Consulting Engineers: and the concrete supplier Unibeton Ready Mix.

GEEPAS Tower, with a built-up area of 1.50 million sq.ft. Will have 684 residential units, a fully equipped gymnasium, health club, swimming pool and 730 space car park. With two levels of basement parking, ground floor with a welcome lobby, 40,000 sq.ft of Retail Space, and 19 floors of residences, GEEPAS Tower has been designed to the highest standards of aesthetics and is scheduled for completion in March 2018.
