Dubai, UAE, October 17, 2016:   Dubai-based Mamzar Group has announced the launch of Woodlem Park International School, a new school in Ajman developed at an estimated investment of AED 150 million. Managed by the renowned UK-based organization Woodlem Park Education, the Indian curriculum school offers British standards of quality education catering to the growing need of the Indian community in and around the emirate of Ajman.

The opening of the new school was announced at a Press Conference held in Dubai recently. His Excellency Sheikh Dr Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ruler's Court of Ajman, is the patron of the Woodlem Park International School. The Press Conference was also attended by His Excellency Sheikh Abdulla bin Majid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Woodlem Park International School; directors of Mamzar Group; and Ms. Sarah Ward-Hendry from Woodlem Park, the UK.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi unveiled the logo of the school. The state-of-the-art campus, spanning over 350,000 sq.ft. of land in Jurf- Ajman, will be functional from the first week of April 2017, in tune with the Indian academic calendar. Admission processes for KG to 8 Grades will commence from the first week of November this year.

Commenting on the launch of the school, His Excellency Sheikh Abdulla bin Majid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Woodlem Park International School, said, “We are happy to announce the launch of the new school in the heart of Ajman, and hope this will contribute to the UAE’s consistent effort to bring in quality education. We hire exemplary faculty for heading the departments of the school and highly qualified, passionate teachers to train the students in academic and life-building skills. The school takes a non-compromise approach on selection of the teachers, building-up a solid and transparent system of identifying ‘only qualified teachers’ through scientific qualitative methods using international parameters.”

Dr Abdul Salam Mohammed, CEO of Woodlem Park International School and a former scientist with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), said, “We are proud to dedicate the Woodlem Park International School campus to the Indian community residing in Ajman and the neighboring emirates. We have in place a strong academic and supportive system backed by the UK-based organization Woodlem Park Education that sets the standards of quality.”

“At Woodlem Park, the students will be provided the key to access a wealth of life learning tools that will allow them grow naturally, confidently and intelligently. The school will promote excellence in children by being the catalyst to create positive changes in them. We strive to make the students competitive by providing an atmosphere where students, faculty and other staff members thrive together,” he added.

Mr. Noufal Ahmed, Chairman of Mamzar Group, said, “We are happy to unveil a new school of international standards in the UAE. The Woodlem Park International School will facilitate excellence in education, while keeping consistency in academic standards of global quality aimed at making the students fit for taking any challenges in their life. The school offers world-class facilities in a technology-enabled environment with digital alternatives in order to reduce the burden of books carried by the students. A state-of-the-art auditorium will be built to accommodate about 5,000 students. This will be used for conducting extracurricular activities including talent contests, competitions and other cultural activities.”

Dr Abdul Gafoor, a strategic consultant of the Woodlem Park School and a leading medical practitioner and academician, said, “Being a newest entrant in the UAE’s academic horizon, our aim is to provide high quality education, led by teacher-experts in their fields providing opportunities for the students to excel in their area of interests. Our system is designed to create a ‘no-homework situation’ for the students through specialized teaching methods within the school premises and within the school timings.”

Talking about the philosophy of the school, Ms Sarah Ward-Hendry from the UK-based strategic partner Woodlem Park, said, “The concept of ‘Woodlem Park’ stands for a garden of lemon trees with a corporate identity designed using three colors, based on the three qualities of a lemon tree -- energize, give shade and spread fragrance. In all the three ways, the tree serves the community. We believe that these three qualities will ensure our children develop their spiritual, emotional, intellectual and moral needs. The three petals in the corporate identity are interlinked to show unity and inclusiveness.”

The school will be following both India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Kerala School Curriculum, complying with the British quality standards and adhering to the UAE Ministry of Education regulations. These standards will be built-up from the beginning to ensure the highest quality international education. The fee structure, however, will be mid premium competitive within the budget of the largest expatriate community in the UAE.

Being the patron of the school, His Excellency Sheikh Dr Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi will provide scholarship schemes to the students, who excel in both academic and extracurricular activities. This is aimed at nurturing and maintaining the excellence, so that such students will be enrolled with full scholarship with their complete expenses covered by the scheme.
