Meeting chaired by HE Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi

Dubai, UAE, October 23, 2016:  The new Board of Emirates Post Group held its first meeting on October 13, chaired by HE Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi, Chairman of the Group, at its head office in Umm Ramool, Dubai.

The meeting, which followed the Cabinet decision on the reconstitution of the Board, was attended by Board members: H.E. Engineer Abdullah Salman Al Ameri, H.E. Khalid Ali Al Bustani, H.E. Dr. Abdul Karim Ahmed Al Zarouni, H.E. Dr. Yahya Mohammed Al Marzouki, Her Excellency Budoor Mohammed Al Tamimi, H.E. Abdul Wahid Abdul Rahim Al Ulama, H.E. Majid bin Dalmook Al Falasi, Her Excellency Hassa Abdel Razek Balomah and H.E. Abdullah Mohammed Al Ashram, Acting CEO of Emirates Post Group.

His Excellency the Chairman of the Board welcomed the members and thanked the government for the trust they reposed in the Board. He urged them to intensify their efforts to enhance the country's position in postal matters and financial services and raise the standards to match the aspirations of our leaders. He thanked the members of the previous board for their efforts in introducing advancements in postal and financial services at the local, regional and international level.

The Board reviewed the current strategy and future trends of the Group and its subsidiaries, and sought to identify key priorities for the next phase and major investment opportunities, in line with the determination of the people of this country to strengthen the country's position. He also stressed the importance of working extra hard to overcome the obstacles and challenges facing the advancement of postal services.

The Chairman also stressed the need to focus on enhancing the quality of postal services and elevate them to international standards, and work toward increasing revenues and profit by at least 12% annually in the coming years, while at the same time paying attention to customer service and employee performance.
