UAE, December 7, 2016– The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and the São Paulo Chamber of Commerce, an arm of the São Paulo Trade Board, will be backing an event entitled, ‘Opportunities in the importation of goods and services from Dubai,’ which will be held on December 8, 2016 at the Arab Brazilian Chamber Auditorium in São Paulo, Brazil. During the event, Dubai’s foreign sales promotion agency, is set to make a presentation and discussion on the goods and services that can be made available to Brazilian businesses.

The activity, which is also being held on the occasion of the celebration of the UAE’s 45th National Day, is set to throw the spotlight on opportunities covering the sale and purchase of goods and services between Brazil and the UAE—complementing recent reports from the Brazilian Ministry of Industry, Trade and Services showing that exports from Brazil to the UAE amounted to USD 1.7 billion from January to October, with imports at USD 309.1 million.

Dr. Michel Alaby, Secretary General and CEO, ABCC, said, “We are looking forward to meeting top Brazilian business leaders and investors in this specially hosted event that seeks to make people more aware of the key business opportunities to be gained from doing business in the UAE. This initiative is aimed at reinforcing the strong trade ties that the UAE has enjoyed with Brazil. The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce has expressed its steadfast commitment in playing a significant role in the efforts to consolidate stronger ties while also helping create economic gains between the two countries.”

The event will place key focus on importation and will showcase key products like cosmetics, food, furniture, medical products, stainless steel and services in general. The agency will also expound on the advantages of re-exporting goods via the emirate. Approximately 30 to 40 business executives are expected to be at the Arab Chamber auditorium for the presentation, including distributors, importers and trade agents.
