‘Place in Your Shell’ to be screened at 70th Cannes Film Festival

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – December 17th 2016:  Ukrainian national Elena Kovalenko has won the ‘Samsung SHRT Flm Cntst’, part of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). Filmed on the Galaxy S7 edge, the short film was screened along with films by eight other directors. Her film ‘Place in Your Shell’ was picked by a jury comprising Majid Al Ansari, acclaimed director, Khalid Al Mahmood, producer, director and cinematographer and Delphine Garde-Mroueh, Programmer of the Arabian Nights Programme. The short film will also be screened at the Short Film Corner during the 70th anniversary edition of Cannes Film Festival that is taking place from May 17 to 28, 2017.

The first runner-up for the Contest was Nabil Chowdhary for Remember Me and Kirill Kripak for Infinatum, taking home a Samsung Gear S3 and Galaxy S7 edge each.
