DUBAI, U.A.E., January 22, 2017: HID Global®, a worldwide leader in trusted identity solutions, today announced that it has been selected by Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MRHE) to upgrade its access control solutions. The company has deployed HID Mobile Access® to make it possible for MRHE employees to use smartphones and wearables to access their office and facilities. The new solution supports MRHE’s strategy to provide its employees an innovative and advanced secure access control solution that has significantly improved the end-user experience.

The centralised mobile access control solution provides employees the option to use HID Global’s patented “Twist and Go” gesture or to simply tap their smartphone or wearable at an HID reader to open doors within MRHE.

'HID Global is a well-known brand and highly respected for its access control solutions. HID Mobile Access allows us to extend the use of smartphones and wearables to access our office, which has helped provide a convenient, cost-effective, secure and user-friendly experience to our employees. The solution is simple to use and allows us to manage employee credentials efficiently,' said Talal Al Ali, Smart Services Department Director, with The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment.

The new solution has enabled MRHE to increase security while also simplifying employee access, as well as management for administrators with its straightforward portal for issuing, managing and revoking Mobile IDs to smartphones and wearables.

HID Global collaborated with regional EPM to deploy HID Mobile Access at MRHE. “HID Global’s mobile access control solution integrated perfectly into MRHE’s credentials management platform. The ease of installation allowed us to deploy the solution speedily,” said Mr. Hadi Omer, Sales and Marketing Director with EPM Systems & Solutions.

“Mobility is on the rise in the Middle East. Being able to use smartphones and wearables for access control is crucial, as these devices are an integral part of our everyday lives at work,” said Harm Radstaak, Vice President and Managing Director of Physical Access Control Solutions with HID Global. “Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment deploying mobile access in their Dubai office validates this growing trend that provides the perfect balance between convenience and security in a mobile-first world.”

“HID Global’s mobile access solution has expanded the capability of what a smartphone and wearable can do. We look forward to using it for more applications in the future such as secure printing and IT security,” added Talal Al Ali.
