Dialogues and live dog shows color 4th day of 2nd Dubai Customs Week

Dubai, UAE, 25 January 2017:  The 4th day of the 2nd Dubai Customs Week was colored with a number of interesting and educational activities on Zayed Family Gathering at Al Khawaneej area. Dubai Customs’ Passenger Operations Department organized the event in the presence of Khalil Saqr, Director of Corporate Communication Department, Head of 2nd Dubai Customs Week Organizing Committee, Ahmad Ali Shahdad, Inspection Manager at Terminal 2, Khalifa Malik, Inspection Manager at Terminal 3, and Siddiqa Ibrahim, Senior Inspector at Terminal 2. 

Abbas Makki, who had worked at Dubai Customs for decades, took part in a dialogue that was moderated by Khalil Saqr, Director of Corporate Communication Department, Head of 2nd Dubai Customs Week Organizing Committee. Makki briefed the audience on customs history and its beginnings in Dubai; that glorious journey that took Dubai Customs from a small center into a leading customs organization. 

The second dialogue was moderated by Imran Ahli, from Valuation Department with the participation of Sana Bilal Saeed from Dubai Customs and Siham Rashidi. Both with disabilities and both are champions who had recognizable local, regional and international achievements. Sana was the first disabled employee who won the Distinctive Government Employee Award in 2009, and won the Working Mother Award in its first version.     
 At the end of the dialogue Khalil Saqr awarded Abbas Makki, Sana Bilal, Siham Al Rashidi, and Mohammed Khamis, the Paralympic gold medalist. 

The event also included an exhibition that featured historic documents and samples of seizures of endangered animals. There was also an entertaining and educational customs dog live show, and visitors had the chance to view the mobile lab that detects and analyzes dangerous materials.
