Khalifa Ahmed Bin Mijrin’s clocked the identical fastest times of 18.676 seconds in the qualifying round of Jeer Tabaa Farkh and Jeer Tabaa Jernas events

DUBAI, 4th February 2017:  Falcons of F3 falconers reigned supreme for the second consecutive day in the fifth edition of the Fakhr Al Ajyal (‘The Pride of the Generation’) Championship for Falconry Tilwah organized and supervised by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) dominating the qualifying rounds on the second day of competition in Dubai on Thursday 2nd February. 

Entries of F3K falconer Khalifa Ahmed Bin Mijrin Mohammed Al Kindi in particular were in terrific form not only clocking the fastest times in the Jeer Tabaa Farkh and Jeer Tabaa Jernas events in the Sheikhs category but having the most number of qualifiers in both events.
In an amazing coincidence, the top falcons of Khalifa Ahmed Bin Mijrin clocked the fastest time of 18.676 seconds in the qualifying round of both the Jeer Tabaa Farkh and Jeer Tabaa Jernas events in the Sheikhs category.

High standard
Ms. Suad Ibrahim Darwish, Director of Championships at HHC, said the high level of performance during the first two days of the competition reflected the eagerness of the falconers to vie for glory in the season finale.

“The falconers are not only preserving the rich cultural heritage of the country by participating in traditional sports such as falconry but taking it to a different level by maintaining a high level of consistency. There is very little difference in the performance of the top falconers and some of the times produced by the falcons during qualifying have been mind boggling which augurs well for an exciting final round,' she said. 

180 contestants have registered to participate in the second day of this prestigious Fazza Championships for Falconry series which will be held in the Sheikhs and General Public categories in the dedicated Fazza Falconry Championship site in Ruwayyah off Emirates Road (Exit 55) until 12th February.

Competition is being held in the Jeer Shaheen Farkh, Jeer Shaheen Jernas, Jeer Tabaa Farkh, Jeer Tabaa Jernas, Pure Jeer Farkh, Pure Jeer Jernas, Garmoosha Farkh, Garmoosha Jernas, Hurr Wahish Shaheen, Hurr Wahish Farkh and Jernas in addition to RC Airplanes category with the top 10 qualifying for the final round. The highlight of the competition will be the crowning of champions in the third of the Fazza Falconry Championship series with Super Finals (‘Al Nukhba’) in the elite Sheikhs category of ‘Farkh’ and ‘Jernas’ events. There will also be an event for juniors in Tabaa Wahish and Tabaa Jeer followed by the finals of Farkh and Jernas events.

Eight finalists
Khalifa Ahmed Mijrin had no less than eight qualifiers each for the finals of both the Jeer Tabaa Farkh and Jeer Tabaa Jernas events.

F3R falconer Rashid Saeed Sultan Al Kindi clocked the third fastest time of 18.815 seconds in the Jeer Tabaa Farkh event while Suhail Saeed Sultan Al Kindi’s (F3) was the eighth fastest qualifier in 19.189 seconds.

In the Jeer Tabaa Jernas event, the entries of F3 falconers Rashid Saeed Sultan Al Kindi and Suhail Saeed Sultan Al Kindi clocked 18.815 and 19.189 seconds respectively, securing them a berth in the final round as third and eighth fastest qualifiers.
