Organizers extend season finale event until 13 February to make up for day lost due to adverse weather conditions
 
DUBAI, 5 February 2017:  Falcons of F3 falconer Khalifa Bin Mijrin produced another stupendous performance when the fifth edition of the Fakhr Al Ajyal (‘The Pride of the Generation’) Championship for Falconry Tilwah organized and supervised by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) resumed in Dubai on Saturday 4 February.

Friday's events were cancelled because of the adverse weather condition which prevailed throughout. However, the organizers announced that they had extended the championship for another day.

'We have decided to extend the season ending Fazza Championship for Falconry by one more day till 13 February instead of disrupting the schedule which could pressure the participants. We also want to maintain the high standard of this prestigious event which has been proved by the record breaking performances so far in this championship,' said Ms. Suad Ibrahim Darwish,” Director of Championships at HHC.

Contestants have registered to participate on the third day of this prestigious Fazza Championships for Falconry series in four which were held in the Sheikhs and General Public competitions in the dedicated Fazza Championships for Falconry site in Ruwayyah off Emirates Road (Exit 55) until 13 February.

Competition is being held in the Jeer Shaheen Farkh, Jeer Shaheen Jernas, Jeer Tabaa Farkh, Jeer Tabaa Jernas, Pure Jeer Farkh, Pure Jeer Jernas, Garmoosha Farkh, Garmoosha Jernas, Hurr Wahish Shaheen, Hurr Wahish Farkh and Jernas in addition to RC Airplanes category with the top 10 qualifying for the final round. The highlight of the competition will be the crowning of champions in the third of the Fazza Falconry Championship series with Super Finals (‘Al Nukhba’) in the elite Sheikhs category of ‘Farkh’ and ‘Jernas’ events. There will also be an event for juniors in Tabaa Wahish and Tabaa Jeer followed by the finals of Farkh and Jernas events.

Fastest time
F3 falcons seemed unaffected by the enforced weather break with Khalifa Bin Mijrin's entry clocking the fastest time of the championship of 17.036 seconds in the Tabaa Garmoosha Jernas (Sheikhs category). Khalifa Bin Mijrin's falcons had eight top qualifiers in the finals while F3R falconer Rashid Saeed Sultan Al Kindi's secured two berths in the finals with his best entry clocking 17.548.

Khalifa Bin Mijrin's entry also clocked the best time of 17.650 seconds in the Tabaa Garmoosha Farkh (Sheikhs category) in which he secured seven qualifiers for the final round.

F3R falconer Rashid Saeed Sultan Al Kindi's entry was fifth fastest in 18.022 while MRM falconer Mohammed Mattar Markhan secured two spots in the final with his best entry clocking the ninth fastest time of 18.181.
