The reinvention of a symbolic garden
Slender stems carrying flowers, ethereal leaves curled around fruit, wild grasses harbouring insects, golden harvests in summer splendour… such is the essence of Chaumet’s nature. Ever since its beginnings, the Maison has depicted a natural world that is both free and gracious, vibrant and generous and whose distinctive contours have created a singular identity, combining ancestral savoir-faire and a vital elegance of style. Mastering its expertise to create enchantment, Chaumet has invented precious jewels that tell the fabulous story of Parisian High Jewellery, born in 1780, with the lightness of hand and deceptive simplicity that defines its style.

La Nature de Chaumet collection reinterprets the Maison’s founding sources of inspiration, expressing the identity of Chaumet while revealing its vision of nature. Four themes are the new chapters that tell the story; the laurel, the ear of wheat, the oak and the lily - all attributes of the gods in classical mythology and interpreted by the Maison since its origins. An alliance of nature and culture, of wildness and refinement, Chaumet’s naturalism is characterised by the choice of plants and flowers that carry significant symbolic power, sometimes tied with a ribbon. Conceived and crafted according to Chaumet’s tradition of excellence, the pieces of this collection, gathered into four tableaux, put technical prowess to the service of wonder and emotion.

Inspirations
La Nature de Chaumet collection offers a view of the symbolic herbarium created by the Maison since its beginnings. This selection of drawings and photographs, dating from 1885 to 1938, illustrates a narration that is both constantly renewed and faithful to the fundamental style of Chaumet. The laurel, the ear of wheat, the oak and the lily motifs are alternatively ultra-figurative or stylised, adorning jewels that are sometimes opulent or sometimes simple, always with volume, movement, and height. Majesty and grace, power and delicacy: from one period to another the Maison writes new chapters of a story that celebrates nuance and composition, opposites brought together in stunning contrasts. Nature interpreted by Chaumet teems with life, it is an ode to the eternal cycle of plants, foliage and berries, from bud to bloom.

Emblem of victory and an ode to Apollo, the evergreen laurel also celebrates immortality. With triumphant femininity, it is adorned here with shades of blue and pink. The suppleness and movement of the pieces evoke Apollo and Daphne’s love chase.

Firmament apollinien
The Firmament apollinien jewellery set offers glory and beauty to its wearer, combining the celestial blue of Burmese sapphires with the opalescent blue of sculpted moonstone. It is made up of two large necklaces, one of which is transformable, a majestic tiara that can also be worn as a slender bandeau, two rings, two pairs of earrings offering variations of wear and a tourbillon volant complication watch.

Frise divine
The sculpted chalcedony, sapphires and spinels of the Frise divine ensemble create a gradation of lavender blue, violet and pink tones. Repeated motifs of bending leaves are subtly enhanced by the finest yellow gold threading. The collection includes a cuff watch and a brooch that transforms into a bracelet, a second bracelet and three rings.

Métamorphoses de Daphné
The five pieces of the Métamorphoses de Daphné theme - a necklace, two rings, a pair of earrings and a brooch - are set with pink spinels of varying hues and some of the leaves are highlighted by a black rhodium accent. The large brooch depicts a vibrant branch from which luscious berry drops sway with the movement.

A gift of the gods to mortals, wheat symbolises life, the earth’s bounty and the golden days of harvest. The goddess Ceres’ sumptuous gold grain provides both physical and spiritual nourishment as it represents maternal love. Echoing the pieces created by Chaumet for Empresses Joséphine and Marie-Louise, these ears of wheat bend in the breeze and imbue the diamond sets with precious generosity.

Offrandes d’été
The wheat sheaves represented by the nine pieces of the Offrandes d’été set seem freshly picked from the fields; highlighted by diamonds, their luminous grains burst with life. A necklace, a headband tiara, three rings, a brooch, two pairs of earrings and a precious watch evoke bouquets tied with simple elegance, some of which are enhanced by a pear-shaped diamond drop.

Champs de lumière
Lit-up by the delicate orangey pink of Padparadscha sapphires, the open-worked wheat motifs of the Champs de lumière creations are kissed by the sun’s rays filtering through the cuff bracelet, the ring and the pair of earrings. An impressionist image of fields bathed in summer sunset light, when the harvest’s bountiful sheaves are gathered.

Moissons sous le vent
Warmed by summer and bending in a soft breeze, the golden ears of the Moissons sous le vent parure combine the sensuality of yellow gold with the sparkle of diamonds in celebration of the vintage style of the 1980s. The set features two brooches, two rings, including a “between-the fingers” creation, two pairs of earrings and a watch with a tourbillon volant complication.

A sacred tree, the oak is the emblem of Zeus, the king of the gods and master of thunder, and a symbol of strength and endurance. The oak has the mystical attribute of being a link between the earth and the heavens. Whether enhanced by the radiant hues of dawn or by the colours of a stormy sky, the mighty oak and its iconic contoured leaves brings Olympian grandeur to jewellery creations as light as dew drops.

Racines célestes
The Racines célestes set expresses vibrant femininity, offering an enchanting colour combination of rosy pearls, violet sapphires, pink and mauve spinels offset by scintillating diamonds. The leaves’ defined curves pay hommage to naturalistic style. The long necklace, transformable into two shorter ones, is accompanied by earrings, two rings and a tourbillon volant complication watch.

Feuillage éternel
The immortality of the diamond echoes that of the oak. The five pieces of the Feuillage éternel parure celebrate divine purity with a rounded, graphic composition. A supple bracelet, two rings, a pair of earrings and a secret cuff bracelet watch that reveals a dial under a leaf; these are the timeless jewels of modern-day nymphs.

Promesse de l’aube
Fresh as a new day, the Promesse de l’aube creations revel in the bright hues of pink, Paraïba and indicolite tourmalines, spessartites and mandarin garnets and pink sapphires. The theme evokes the delicate grace of the tree spirits, the dryads - these youthful divinities symbolise the energy of the forest and the oak. The supple bracelet, two pairs of earrings and a ring come together in a joyful dance of shapes and vivid colours.

The flower of innocence and emblem of the kings of France, the lily holds a special place in the precious garden of the Maison Chaumet; jeweller to the crowned heads of Europe. The lily motif jewels celebrate the different facets of feminine beauty, from translucent purity to fiery passion, to adorn modern muses with strength and grace.

Passion incarnat
The lilies of the Passion incarnat parure lend crimson majesty to the tiara, earrings, rings and tourbillon volant complication watch, incandescent red spinels and rhodolite garnets contrast with the crisp tones of mint-green tourmalines. Combining delicate buds with full blooms, these versatile pieces transform the tiara into a brooch or a necklace, and the large earrings into smaller versions.

Songe de nuit
In a graphic composition inspired by the lily’s six petals, the white Songe de nuit set dazzles with the sparkling radiance of diamonds. The ensemble is made up of a large open-work bracelet, a ring and a pair of transformable earrings, offering the adornments of an elegant and subtle femininity.

Étoiles boréales
The sumptuous summer blossoms of the Étoiles boréales creations enchant Chaumet’s romantic garden. The fire of the cabochon-cut black opals plays with the lights of the Paraïba tourmalines and yellow and violet sapphires. The sensuous curves and volumes of the set bring the transformable necklace, the brooch, the bracelet the earrings and the ring to life.
