Abu Dhabi Ports' quality management systems certified with ISO 9001:2015

Abu Dhabi-UAE: February 14, 2017:  Abu Dhabi Ports, the master developer, operator and manager of the Emirate's commercial and community ports as well as Khalifa Industrial Zone, has obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification, an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems. This reflects Abu Dhabi Ports’ commitment to meeting and exceeding the needs of customers and stakeholders as well as elevating the level of excellence in services offered.
The scope of the awarded certificate covers all units and subsidiaries of Abu Dhabi Ports including Abu Dhabi Marine Services (SAFEEN) and Maqta Gateway, the company’s innovative port community system.

The ISO 9001 certification was awarded to Abu Dhabi Ports following a successful audit of the company's management system by Lloyds Register of Quality Assurance (LRQA).

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, commented: “Ever since inception, instituting quality management processes has been at the top of our priorities in order to achieve excellence and enhance competitiveness. The ISO certification for quality management systems is based on principles such as customer focus, risk- and process-based approaches, and the commitment of top management to continuous improvement.

Organisations accredited the ISO 9001:2015 demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements, and enhance customer satisfaction.
