A report by Allied Market Research (AMR) projects that the global engineered wood market is estimated to reach $41.273 billion by 2022

Dubai, UAE, 1 March 2017:  Organisers of Dubai WoodShow 2017 said that wood industry continues to have strong and consistent demand for all grades of logs. A new report by Allied Market Research (AMR) projects that the global engineered wood market is estimated to reach $41.273 billion by 2022, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.8 per cent from 2016 - 2022. Europe, being the developed market, accounts for nearly 70 per cent of global engineered wood production, while still maintaining high CAGRs.

As such market participants seem to be gearing up for what they believe will be yet another year of good growth for the wood industry. The Italian wood and furniture industry is one of the driving forces of this encouraging scenario, and to continue the positive momentum, Italian companies are showcasing their presence at Dubai WoodShow which will be held in Dubai from March 7 to 9 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

“Italy has experienced a real evolution in the market for wood in recent years. At the Dubai WoodShow we aim to provide the Italian exhibitors a strategic platform that will help them showcase their products to key players of the industry,” commented Dawood Al Shezawi, Chairman, Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions, organisers of Dubai WoodShow.

“Italy’s participation at Dubai WoodShow is integral to our continued success. At this year’s edition, our focus will be on galvanizing the collective strength of the wood industry’s global capabilities and expertise to continue delivering smart solutions that meet the needs of an evolving industry landscape,” added Al Shezawi.

The Dubai WoodShow is one of the biggest events of the industry. The show is the first destination for all the international companies aiming to set up their presence in the Middle East North Africa region. This year’s edition of Dubai WoodShow is expected to generate huge success, with the industry experiencing a vibrant growth in past few months. The companies participating at the show will certainly have access to an increased market share.

Companies from Italy participating at the show include SCM Group, Cefla Finishing Group, Biesse Group, Freud, IMAL, Storti, SIRCA, Job Services and BigOnDry among others.

Dubai WoodShow has grown beyond the horizons of success and has become the only dedicated trade show in the Middle East for the wood and woodworking machinery industry. It is a convergence point for manufacturers, traders, suppliers, machinery companies and end-users in the wood industry chain. The show, being highly specialized, provides the perfect opportunity for the regional and international companies to showcase and learn about wood and woodworking and to build new strategic relationships with buyers, traders and investors.

“Wood plays an important role in ground-breaking and distinctive structures that we see all over the world. In today’s time, international builders and designers are embracing wood products for their many advantages. This year’s edition of Dubai WoodShow is pleased to support the wood industry professionals with renewed learning and collaboration opportunities that will let the visitors experience the modern-day advancements of the wood industry,” concluded Al Shezawi.

The Dubai WoodShow this year is expected to showcase exhibitors from all over the world. Year after year, the number of participants and visitors to the show has increased, helping participating companies promote their products and innovations to industry leaders. In addition, with the rising popularity of sustainable and eco-friendly wood products, an international platform as Dubai WoodShow serves extremely beneficial.
