The meeting discussed the agenda of the upcoming visit to the UAE of H.E. Edith Schippers, Netherlands’ Minister of Health, Welfare and Sports, in April. The meeting also explored opportunities for cooperation in various areas such as exchange of expertise; training; facilitate visiting doctors who would perform local treatment with the country’s advanced medical centers; innovation in health management; smart services application and technologies; and medical supplies and licensing of Dutch doctors in the UAE.

Minister Al Owais noted the importance of strengthening relations and capabilities between the two countries, emphasizing the country’s strategies to provide comprehensive and integrated healthcare services in innovative and sustainable ways that helps protect the community from diseases, develop a health information system, and implement international standards in the management of healthcare facilities and infrastructure.
