Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 21, 2017: Cisco has won the ‘Unified Communications Vendor of the Year’ award at the 13th Network Middle East Innovation Awards 2017, which was held recently in Dubai. Cisco was recognized for its innovation, key regional implementations and continued commitment to its customers and partners in providing only the best-of-breed Unified Communications (UC) and Collaboration solutions, expertise, and customer service and support.

Speaking on their win, Ahmad Zureiki, Collaboration Lead, Cisco Middle East said, “Today, technologies are improving so quickly and in so many ways, that organizations have an exceptional opportunity to build more efficient processes, foster deeper collaboration and transform the way they work overall. At Cisco, we are focused on helping our customers future-proof their business, so they can take advantage of all that innovation. Our latest Collaboration and UC solutions have been designed specifically with the goal of making it easier for our customers’ teams to instantly connect, communicate and collaborate – so people can respond faster and make decisions more quickly.”

“We are honored to be chosen as the ‘Unified Communications vendor of the year’ by Network Middle East magazine, which is recognition of our best-of-breed UC and Collaboration solutions portfolio and our team’s hard work and dedication towards our customers and partners in the region in providing the best service, expertise and support. We would like to thank the panel of judges and the editors of ITP Publishing for recognizing our efforts and our customers and partners for placing their trust in us.”

Cisco offers a full suite of integrated on-premises and cloud-based UC and collaboration applications and services. The solution is based on Cisco Unified Communications Manager and brings together voice, video, telepresence, messaging, presence and conferencing. Cisco UC is an attractive solution for midsize, large and multinational corporations requiring strong voice, video or conferencing capabilities. It is also attractive to enterprises that require full UC client support on leading mobile platforms, including Apple, and those that wish to leverage Cisco's networking infrastructure. Cisco also provides a full range of endpoints, including phones, desktop collaboration endpoints, room systems and immersive solutions, as well as Cisco Jabber, its mobile and desktop client.

“Cisco’s vision is to deliver a single seamless collaboration experience that spans all communication modes from any device on premises, from the cloud or hybrid by seamlessly connecting both cloud and premises together. Our UC and collaboration solutions include next-generation features and capabilities that can significantly reduce an organisation’s total cost of ownership. We provide customers with a sophisticated collaboration and communication experience that corporate IT and business expects, while also offering the same intuitiveness and simplicity found in easy-to-use software-based consumer communication tools,” added Ahmad Zureiki.

Cisco has been positioned as a leader in Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrants for Unified Communications, contact center infrastructure, web conferencing and group video systems. This leadership placement confirms both the strength of Cisco’s current portfolio, which delivers the best collaboration products and solutions on the market, as well as its vision to bring all communication modes together for amazing experiences on any device.

The Network Middle East Innovation Awards 2017 celebrated the achievements of networking professionals, service providers and vendors who have worked on the most challenging projects and implementations in the region over the last 12 months. Product innovation, quality service, customer deployments and commitment to the region were the criteria set for Cisco winning the ‘Unified Communications Vendor of the year’ award category.
