Dubai, 22th March, 2017:  Global Village, the region’s leading multicultural festival park, participated in the ‘International Day of Happiness’ celebrations in the UAE, with its own festive line up of exciting activities. 

The Happiness Welcoming Team:
Global Village’s front line staff wore specially designed ‘smiley’ t-shirts to welcome guests on this special day. The guests were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the happy bunch!

“Ring A Gong”
Guests expressed their happiness by ringing an actual gong which was specifically set up by Global Village near the Gate of The World, where a plaque stated: “If You Are Happy, Ring A Gong!” Thousands of guests were seen lining up to share their happiness while taking photos to capture the happy moments they spent at Global Village. 

“Wheel of Happiness”
A special ‘Happiness Day Smiley Face’ was projected and lit on the Ferris wheel at Global Village’s Fantasy Island to further create an ambience for the special day. 

Global Village will continue to provide its guests with the happiest of experiences every day until April 8, 2017.  Global Village's opening hours are from 4 pm to 12 am Saturday to Wednesday and from 4 pm to 1 am on Thursdays and Fridays in addition to public holidays.
