The leading healthcare provider is the first to adopt “TrakCare as a service” in the United Arab Emirates

Dubai, UAE – March 26, 2017:  InterSystems, a global leader in health information technology, announced that Emirates Hospitals Group, one of the largest private healthcare providers in the UAE, will be implementing the InterSystems TrakCare® unified healthcare information system.

By implementing TrakCare, Emirates Hospitals Group will be the first private chain to deploy a world-class international healthcare information system across all its hospitals and clinics in the UAE.

TrakCare will enable Emirates Hospitals Group to create a consolidated view of each patient’s history on any authorized Internet-connected device. The advanced interoperability that TrakCare provides Emirates Hospitals Group responds to the intentions of the Nabidh scheme. The Nabidh initiative from Dubai Health Authority is a health information exchange platform that connects public and private health systems to ensure that patient records can be securely shared and viewed across all of Dubai by authorized clinicians.

The main focus of Emirates Hospitals Group is to ensure patient engagement and satisfaction. This will be facilitated by TrakCare’s innovative community portal which provides healthcare enterprises with a comprehensive extensible solution to support the creation of engaged patient communities.

“At Emirates Hospitals Group, we are committed to adopting best-in-class technology solutions to drive digital transformation. We believe this will enable our patients to have better clinical outcomes. We chose TrakCare to further improve our care delivery in many areas. These areas include patient safety, patient record availability, and overall integration of data. This will help us provide even better patient care,” said Pramod Balakrishnan, CEO of Emirates Hospitals Group, at the TrakCare kick-off meeting that took place recently in Dubai.

“Today, most private healthcare organizations are looking at adopting the latest healthcare IT systems. They know that this will help them to provide safer, faster, and more efficient healthcare services. TrakCare as a service will enable private hospitals and clinics to achieve this without making major capital expenditures,” said Michel Amous, InterSystems Managing Director for Middle East, Italy, and India.

“InterSystems is proud to be working with Emirates Hospitals Group on this project, which will benefit many patients in the UAE. The hospital is joining a large and growing community of clients across 25 countries, who work closely with InterSystems to benefit from the global best practices built into TrakCare,” added Amous.

InterSystems TrakCare was recently honored with two “Best in KLAS” awards for Global (Non-US) Acute Care EMR and Global (Non-US) Patient Administration System (PAS).
