The local designers have come a long wayand are being recognised on international platforms while global fashion has always been welcome in Dubai, catering to the preferences of a diverse population. I feel extremely proud to bring to you yet another successful edition of Modern Woman Show, which has all the elements to please our ladies who are used to courting elegance, class and luxurious styles”.

Al Dhanhani further added: “As Dubai and the UAE lead the fashion scene in the Middle East, this is a real testament to the country’s potential. The MENA Design Outlook report we released in collaboration with d3revealed that the MENA fashion market has outpaced global industry growth by over 4.7 times since 2010. The UAE has been pro-active and steady with its growth and while a large part of it has been supported by international imports and designers, the local and regional brands are flourishing too. This aligns with our vision to raise the profile of Dubai as a regional and global destination for design.”

There will also be a special focus on the latest trends in modest fashion, catering to the sophisticated, yet demanding tastes of the Emirati and expat community in the UAE. Exhibitors will also present their unique limited edition pieces as well as special Ramadan line at the event. The modest fashion market has always had a huge spending potential. In the last few years the Muslim fashion world has taken off in a big way and will reportedly be upped to around $484 billion by 2019. Many well-known brands have already made their mark with modest collections.

The collections presented will be in line with the sentiments of modesty plus in sober colors like teal, emerald green, black and white with a lot of spring florals and white to go with the season.

Maitha Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, Dubai Design District said: “Participation in this year’s Modern Woman Show, alongside the Dubai Design and Fashion Council, demonstrates d3’s support of the region’s fashion industry. As we move to being an internally recognized design destination, supporting our region’s designers across the many creative fields in the industry is both an important and strategic step for d3 and Dubai as a creative centre”.
