UAE, May 9, 2017- Dubai Courts’ successive achievements are a reflection of its steady commitment to excellence and keen determination to bring happiness to its customers and stakeholders. This has led to it winning the ‘Happiest Work Environment 2016’ award during the 20th Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) recently held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Winning the newly introduced category demonstrated Dubai Courts’ unwavering effort to establish a work environment that promotes the spirit of innovation, creativity, happiness, and positivity. This move is in keeping with its corporate excellence standard and in line with the principles of the Fourth Generation of Government Excellence System. The latter is the first world-class Emirati development system that aims to bring cutting-edge public service according to the highest standards. It ensures that all citizens and residents have access to topnotch services for the sake of their happiness and well-being. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen the UAE’s overall competitiveness by positioning it at the top of all global indicators.

The Dubai Courts’ ‘Happiest Work Environment 2016’ award shows its full compliance to the Fourth Generation of Government Excellence System and is a result of its high score in a human resource happiness survey conducted by DGEP. The Courts also outperformed other nominated government bodies on the Employees Happiness Index; Employees Satisfaction Index; Employees Synergy Index; Employees Loyalty Index; and the Human Capital Return On Investment (HCROI). The HCROI includes various components, including training efficiency; feedback system effectiveness in terms of the number of respondents and applied suggestions; productivity rates; lower service cost; and the distinguished performance recognition and incentives plans.

H.E. Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director General, Dubai Courts, said that the ‘Happiest Work Environment 2016’ is an addition to Dubai Courts’ string of DGEP awards, including the ‘Best Financial Entity,’ the ‘Creative Department,’ and the ‘Creative Leader.’ H.E. also emphasized that this award is the culmination of the Courts’ long-standing and groundbreaking efforts driven by its resolve and perseverance to realize the goals of its ‘Strategic Document 2016 – 2019.’ The ‘Strategic Document’ aims to attract, develop, empower, and retain innovative, upbeat, and well-qualified human resources capable of promoting trust in the judiciary at the local and international levels.

H.E. Al Mansouri added: “Achieving excellence in our bid to create the happiest work environment is the result of our undivided commitment in keeping with the ‘Strategic Document 2016 - 2019.’ It makes the happiness of our employees and stakeholders a top priority, a strategic goal, and a national responsibility under the directives of our wise leaders to value the happiness of all UAE nationals. We are pleased that our extensive endeavors have contributed to developing and implementing a comprehensive and integrated portfolio of initiatives aimed at spreading positive energy; developing a promising leadership; and advancing women competencies. Additionally, we seek to honor and recognize excellence, spur innovation, implement career development programs, and bring happiness to all our employees. Rest assured that we will maintain our path towards excellence, which, according to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, must be viewed as ‘a challenge …not as an achievement.’”

H.E. Al Mansouri concluded: “We remain committed to our duty in keeping with the wise directives of our visionary leaders who have always pushed for a positive work environment to make the UAE a global role model for employee satisfaction and happiness. As such, we will continuously aim to achieve judicial excellence in line with the corporate excellence standard and the principles of Fourth Generation of Government Excellence System. This will also help us optimize our performance to meet the highest international standards and bring happiness to all our employees and stakeholders; build a robust society; and support creativity and innovation. Ultimately, all these efforts are aimed at making our vision of ‘internationally pioneering and distinguished courts’ a reality for us to deliver justice and ensure safety of our society.”

The ‘Happiest Work Environment 2016’ is a result of Dubai Courts’ remarkable efforts to develop competent and innovative human resources. Additionally, in line with the ‘Strategic Document 2016 - 2017,’ Dubai Courts is striving to develop and formulate quality policies and programs aimed at boosting its performance and efficiency. It not only ensures the fairness of its measuring tools but it also raises the levels of motivation, participation, and excellence of its employees. The tools include key policies and career path development programs, including the ‘Elite Program,’ ‘Future Judge Program,’ ‘Excellence Stars Program,’ ‘Innovation Exchanges Program,’ ‘Innovators Club,’ ‘Knowledge Leaders Program,’ ‘Women Council,’ and ‘Young Leaders Team,’ among others.
