Mr Bin Sulayem visit Electric Way cables and electrical services center

Dubai, May 17, 2017:

DP World and its industrial park operator NIP (National Industries Park) will continue to back the Dubai Plan 2021 and play a key  role in enhancing the Emirate’s position as a leading economic, industrial and commercial hub according to Group Chairman and CEO, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem.

Mr. Bin Sulayem’s remarks came during a visit to Electric Way, one of the largest suppliers of electric power cables and construction supplies in the region, which recently inaugurated its headquarters at National Industries Park. Mr. Bin Sulayem was given a tour of the facility by by Atheeqe Ansari, CEO of Electric Way and a briefing on the company's processes and future plans.

Mr. Bin Sulayem commended Mr. Ansari on Electric Way’s success that have positioned it as one of the leading Emirati and international companies in the National Industrial Park. Its investments add value to Dubai, the UAE and the region, especially in the build up to Expo 2020.

Mr. Ansari said the support his company received from DP World and the National Industries Park was a key factor in its success. He also reaffirmed the company’s determination to become the largest distributor of electrical cables and solutions in the region from the base in National Industries Park. The next expansion step for the company, Ansari explained, will take Electric Way to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, in line with the remarkable potential associated with vast plans such as 2022 FIFA World Cup and Saudi Vision 2030, not to mention Expo 2020.

Ansari further noted that Electric Way plans to invest in Africa, with the support of DP World, a major player in the African market, before expanding onto India and China at a later stage.

It is worth noting that Electric Way’s new state of the art logistics facility extends over an area of 100,000 square feet with a growing product list of more than 7000 items. Electric Way expects this center to become one of the largest electrical warehouses in the UAE.  Electric Way operates in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
