Dubai Health Authority Adopts Two Smart Technologies That Aim to Protect New-Borns
Dubai, UAE, May 28, 2017: The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has started implementing two state-of-the art technologies that aim to protect the safety of new-borns in Dubai and Latifa hospital.
The first system adopted aims to protect the new-borns by technologically linking them with their mothers and the hospital so that if someone attempts to move the baby without authorization the mother and hospital will be alerted. The second system adopted on the other hand aims to monitor the oxygen levels in the child’s blood and alert the mother, and staff if the oxygen levels drop below the normal rate.
His Excellency Humaid Al Qatami Chairman of the Board and Director General of the DHA said the authority aims to enable hospitals, health centers and clinics to provide the best services by providing them with the latest smart technologies.
He made the statement while visiting the second batch graduation ceremony at Latifa Hospital of nurses from Dubai Hatta and Latifa hospital , where he stressed the importance of constantly training and enabling health caregivers and specialists with the best skills in order to provide quality services that achieve customer satisfaction.
Al Qatami said that mother and childcare is a pivotal target of the authority’s 2016/2017 strategy as it is planning to implement a number of initiatives and programmes that aim to benefit mothers and children in all DHA facilities.
