-         Aerospace leaders to return to UAE capital to tackle industry challenges

-         Future of aerospace to be assessed at time of international unpredictability

19 June 2017 - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: 1,000 of the world’s aerospace, space and defence industry leaders will define the future of their sectors when they return to Abu Dhabi for the fourth edition of the Global Aerospace Summit 2018.  Corporate, government and military strategies will be marked out at the Summit, which will address some of the key challenges facing the aerospace industry and discuss future trends at a time of international uncertainty.

A range of important issues will be assessed, such as the future of aircraft and new technologies that will revolutionise manufacturing, as well as the threats posed to incumbent businesses  by a distributed, digital world. The event will analyse sources of game changing tech platforms and disruptive business models, in addition to focusing on their wider implications for the industry and related sectors.

Oisin Commane, Managing Director, SMG Aerospace, the organizers of the summit, commented:  “The 2018 Summit will focus on what the aerospace industry means for people – how aerospace helps advance mankind and how we can build the human capital we need to develop our industry. We will look at what Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), airlines and policy makers need to do to enable people to thrive in a data driven, connected planet. Space, cyber security and national workforce development will all be high on the agenda.”

Hosted by Mubadala, the premier thought leadership forum will be held from 27 to 28 February 2018 at St. Regis Hotel, Saadiyat Island.
