  • The MENA Cloud Alliance (MENACA) provides thought-leading insights that contribute to the regional cloud computing ecosystem
  • The Alliance comprises global and regional technology leaders with Corporate and Individual Memberships
  • MENACA’S recently published Cloud Competitiveness Index 2017 offers valuable insights into the region’s cloud industry

Dubai, 10 July 2017: The MENA Cloud Alliance, the region’s first industry association focused on cloud computing adoption, is breaking new ground in monitoring, identifying and resolving issues around cloud adoption regionally.

The Alliance, which has a growing membership, provides a neutral platform to address opportunities and issues in the region. It provides a forum to generate dialogue, accelerate cloud computing and develop its impact on MENA’s digital economies.

This is significant as the Middle East is predicted to have the highest cloud traffic growth in the world offering potential for the cloud market and other emerging tech trends such as Big Data, Internet of Things and Smart City.

MENACA also has the distinct advantage of being a neutral industry association which is vendor agnostic. It distinguishes itself as a think-tank positioned to formulate policies and strategies based upon global best practices as well as regional practice. As a result, it is uniquely positioned to create rich insights which can be utilized by those operating in the region and those making investment in the regional technology landscape.

An example of this is the recently published Cloud Competitiveness Index 2017. The Index ranks GCC nations on the basis of their cloud industry strengths and weaknesses, with the UAE currently ranking number one. Future iterations of the Index will be built upon the feedback of major regional stakeholders from a variety of verticals. This will offer a comprehensive view of the GCC’s cloud utilization contributing to the realization of a digital economy.

MENACA’s membership includes giants such as Intel, Microsoft, HPE, Huawei, Red Hat, Equinix, DXC.technology & Lenovo. Further growth is expected and Enterprise Memberships will be released shortly.
