Abu Dhabi Ports seals strategic partnership with Healthpoint for wellness-coaching program

Abu Dhabi-UAE: August 13, 2017:  Abu Dhabi Ports, the master developer, operator and manager of the commercial and community ports within the emirate of Abu Dhabi , port of Fujairah, and Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi( KIZAD), recently signed a strategic partnership with Healthpoint, a multi-specialty hospital in Abu Dhabi, to launch a wellness-coaching program for its employees. Healthpoint is part of Mubadala’s network of world-class healthcare providers. 

The agreement, signed by Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Ports, and Dr. Mai Ahmed  Al Jaber, Deputy Medical Director and Head of Public Health at Healthpoint, is dedicated to employees and promises numerous long-term health benefits to them and their families. Throughout the year, Healthpoint will lead Abu Dhabi Port employees in a series of educational events and campaigns focusing on their overall health and wellbeing. The holistic program will include women’s health, men’s health, nutritional advice, exercise and many other areas. Healthpoint’s health experts will be available to provide life coaching and help encourage positive healthy lifestyle choices. 

In line with the UAE Government’s happiness and healthcare agendas, the agreement between Abu Dhabi Ports and Healthpoint supports the UAE Vision 2021 of achieving a world-class healthcare system, and ensuring a longer, healthier life for citizens and residents.

Commenting on the partnership, Captain Al Shamisi, stressed that employee happiness is essential for any company’s success. “At Abu Dhabi Ports we maintain a firm stance on enabling employees to live healthier lifestyles, which will reflect on their performance.
