Abu Dhabi-UAE: 22 August 2017:  Abu Dhabi University (ADU) organized a special talk titled ‘Happiness and Positivity’ on Monday (August 21) by lecturer Fahad Abdallah Haikal, who highlighted the importance of adopting happiness and optimism as core elements of an individual’s lifestyle. Catering to faculty, staff and ADU alumni, the talk was attended by Salem Mubarak Aldhaheri Executive Director of Community Relations at Abu Dhabi University, Deans, Heads of Departments and several University officials.

Commenting on the theme of the lecture, Salem Mubarak Aldhaheri Executive Director of Community Relations at ADU, said: “Establishing happiness and positivity as elements of our lifestyle is a fundamental priority, and one we have been inspired to learn from the founding fathers of the UAE. They always maintained a positive outlook on life that was reflected across various sectors of the community - revitalizing the economy and creating distinct opportunities for our people. This positivity has transformed the nation, and the UAE today is home to some of the happiest residents in the world.”

Aldhaheri went on to express the University’s pride in hosting renowned lecturer on happiness and positivity Fahad Abdallah Haikal, whose experiences are an inspiration that encourages us all to contribute to the National Happiness and Positivity Program.

In his talk, Fahad Abdallah Haikal focused the importance of positivity in facing challenges and seizing opportunities, as well as having a clear vision while dealing with daily issues. Haikal underlined the imperative need to replace hesitation with determination while adapting to new changes. Upholding the UAE leaders as role models of excellence and creativity, he presented a series of inspirational experiences from the country and the world to illustrate how challenges transform into opportunities if dealt with positively.

Furthermore, Haikal also pointed out that the concepts of happiness and positivity are what drive innovators and entrepreneurs into transforming their creative ideas into tangible projects and businesses that benefit the community.

The talk concluded with a Q&A session and a book signing of Haikal’s book titled 'What my life has taught me'.
