September 12, 2017: Nasser Bin Abdullatif Alserkal Est., Pearl FM’s long-time sponsor, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children, for its subsidiary brands Quick Pit & Dial-a-Tire to develop basic life skills of today's youth in the UAE through a unique engaging life skills course related to the automotive segment. The MoU was signed by Ahmad Bin Eisa Alserkal, Vice Chairman, Alserkal and Dr Mona Al Bahar, CEO, Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children, in the presence of administrators and managers from both entities.

The signing of the MoU is timely and strategic, follows the World Health Organization's (WHO) recent call-to-action to develop life skills that can enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. Alserkal’s Dial-a-Tire, along with its mother brand Quick Pit, will be implementing the ‘Automotive Life Skills’ program, developed to teach children aged six and above with essential skills related to automobiles.

“This strategic new partnership with the Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children demonstrates our commitment in helping serve the community and be a major player in its efforts to drive in more growth and development,” said Ahmad Bin Eisa Alserkal. “This is a one-of-a-kind initiative and we are glad to be implementing it in partnership with the Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children. Guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, our newly formed alliance reinforces our position at the forefront of the move to add value to the UAE's youth segment.”

The life skills program aims to help students find new ways of thinking and solving problems at hand. With cars playing such an integral role in everyone’s lives in the U.A.E, the program will help empower children with crucial knowledge about automobiles—also building confidence and teaching individuals on how to work effectively in teams. The program will be offered and held at the Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children & also at the Quick Pit locations covering key topics such as changing a tire; battery testing, tire safety, automobile technology, electrical installations etc.

Dr. Mona Al Bahar said: “Through this MoU, we aim to introduce a new way of educating the youth, while increasing the level of knowledge across a number of different sectors. We also aim to develop life skills among the youth, in order to get them ready to keep pace with rapid globalization in the future.”

“We continuously urge the private sector to invest in the development of the youth, as they are the leaders of tomorrow, and the generation that will continue the legacy of the UAE. This MoU supports our vision and reflects the fruitful cooperation between the public and private sectors, while highlighting the important role played by businesses, for the enhancement of society,” concluded Al Bahar.
