November 13, 2017 - Renowned private and public organizations from across the UAE are extending their full support to the 7th Abu Dhabi Science Festival (ADSF) running until the 18th of November 2017 simultaneously at both Khalifa Park and the Al Ain Zoo under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), the event’s organizer, has announced that Dolphin Energy Limited, Mubadala, Emirates Transport, and Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), have prepared exciting activities that will raise interest in their respective fields among ADSF’s young participants. Dolphin Energy, a perennial ADSF sponsor since 2011, has volunteered four activities (‘Dolphin Energy Activation Area,’ ‘Secret Life of Coral,’ ‘Kids Dig,’ ‘Dolphin Theatre’), while the other organizations have contributed one each (‘Lema?’ from Mubadala, ‘Mini Mechanics’ from Emirates Transport, ‘Power It Up!’ from ENEC).

Abu Dhabi Media is also acting as Exclusive Media Partner to ensure maximum coverage for the latest edition of the Middle East’s biggest science fair.

The 7th Abu Dhabi Science Festival features 71 exciting and educational activities designed to generate interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines particularly among young students. ADEK collaborated with the Edinburgh International Science Festival to design and develop ADSF 2017’s content specifically geared towards children aged five years old and above who embody the next generation of scientists, technologists, engineers and innovators.

ADSF has been attended by over half a million visitors and supported by more than 50 sponsors since its inception. ADEK is coordinating with 15 universities and academic and scientific institutions across the UAE to actively participate in the festival. More than 1,000 higher education students have volunteered for the event –including ADSF alumni who will deliver workshops and shows in an engaging and distinctive manner to inspire the new generation of future scientists.
