UAE, November 28, 2017- The Department of Economic Development - Ajman (DED-Ajman) joins the whole nation in its celebration of the 46th anniversary of the founding of the country's union-highlighting the sense of pride and belonging of both citizens and residents as the UAE continues to shine as a global model for growth, progress and development. In line with this, a special celebration was held at the Al Hamidiya Customer Service Centre, which was held in the presence of His Excellency (H.E.) Ali Eissa Al Nuaimi, Director General, DED-Ajman and attended by senior officials, employees and clients. During the event, Al Nuaimi led the event by reaffirming their pledge of loyalty and support to the UAE's wise leadership and the commitment to continue the march towards more growth and development as envisioned by His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, founding father of the UAE.

Director General Al Nuaimi said, “UAE National Day brings a very precious memory to all our hearts--it is the anniversary of the country's union, which laid the foundation for the creation of a modern country aimed at anticipating and shaping the future fulfilled with noble values and principles established in us by the founding fathers.”

H.E. added, “As we join the whole nation in celebrating the 46th anniversary of the UAE, we renew our commitment to continue our journey of excellence and development. We look forward to achieving the objectives of DED-Ajman, which complements goals of UAE Vision 2021 to build a competitive, diverse and knowledgeable economy. The celebrations for National Day confirm our patriotic spirit that unites our hearts and encourage us to continue towards the path of excellence--aiming to raise our flag high among nations.”

The DED-Ajman event included the participation of Ajman Police by displaying its luxury cars at Al-Hamidiya Center, and the opening of the ‘Heritage Village,’ an initiative that showcases the creativity and skills of select UAE families--displaying and selling locally made products. The celebration was also highlighted by performances and activities, including ‘Alyoulah’ and ‘Al Rizfa.’ Select students from Rawdat Al Hayat School rendered performances entitled ‘The First Army’ and a reading of the poem ‘The First Glory,’ which talks about love for the homeland.
