Abu Dhabi-UAE: 19 December, 2017 –  Abu Dhabi University (ADU), recently hosted a high-level delegation from Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security in ADU’s Abu Dhabi campus. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for future collaboration between the two parties and the exchange of best practices in strategic areas of mutual interest.

Professor Waqar Ahmad, Provost and Interim Chancellor of ADU, and senior representatives of the University welcomed the delegation, led by Major General Nguyen Xuan Ngu, Permanent Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee. Delegates included Major General Pham Xuan Binh, Director of Policy Department, Major General Dang Tran Chieu, Director of the Yen Bai Province Police Department, and senior officials from Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security.

Offering the visitors an overview of ADU’s latest training programs and initiatives to be launched in 2018, Professor Ahmad said: “The UAE and Vietnam enjoy long-standing friendly relations based on common interests, and ADU is delighted to contribute to strengthening these bilateral ties. The visit of the Vietnamese delegation provides an ideal opportunity to share our expertise in university management and organization training, and aligns with our strategy to expand our global synergies.”

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the university facilities including the library, information center, research center, and auditorium.
In line with strengthening bilateral relations with Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, this visit is the second tour for Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in ADU’s campuses.
