Sahara Centre announced as a key sponsor for the Dubai Basketball International Championship 2018

Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, 18 January 2018:  Sahara Centre, Sharjah’s leading retail, leisure, entertainment and dining destination, has announced that it will be supporting the Dubai Basketball International Championship 2018 as the bronze sponsor for the 29th edition of the tournament. The championship runs from 18th to 26th January and will see some of the world’s top basketball players travelling to the UAE to compete in Dubai. 

Akram Ammar, Managing Director of Sahara Centre, commented: ”We are proud to be one of the key sponsors of the Dubai Basketball International Championship and to celebrate this important event with our customers and sports fans across the UAE.” 

During the championship, national teams from the UAE and the Philippines will take to the court against several regional teams from Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia in one of the most highly anticipated basketball events of the year.

The sponsorship reflects Sahara Centre’s commitment to promote active lifestyle and good health across all segments of society by providing its visitors with an exciting calendar of events to look forward to throughout the year. As one of the key sponsors for the event, Sahara Centre will be encouraging its visitors and all basketball fans to come together to follow the tournament and immerse themselves in the joy of this fast-paced, dynamic sport.
