Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 31 January 2018:   Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai presents Soul Wellness & Spa – a brand-new holistic concept that balances mind, body and soul.

The tranquil space, formerly operated by Shine Spa, takes cues from time-honoured Eastern traditions, said Spa Consultant Nikolina Jungic, who oversees the facility.

“Soul Wellness & Spa’s person-centred approach involves initiating conversations with the customers to gain a better understanding of their specific situations so that treatments can be tailored accordingly,” she said.

“When clients arrive, we sit with them and discuss how they hope to benefit from the appointment, whether this is by focusing on a specific body area or simply ‘switching off’. We hope that all who visit will leave us feeling relaxed, refreshed and inspired.”

The venue’s soothing decor is rich in earthy elements including verdant greens and the warm hues of bark, echoing the scent of Arabian sandalwood wafting through the air. Offering holistic wellness with local relevance, and draped in flowing white curtains, it provides a feeling of peace that is worlds away from the city’s hustle and bustle. To boost the therapeutic effect, each treatment is followed by an optional complimentary 10-minute guided meditation experience designed to increase creativity and relaxation. This takes place in the spa’s relaxation area, which has breathtaking views of Dubai.

“Healthy food and drinks prepared by Sheraton chefs are being served at the venue, with refreshments included in some treatment packages,” Jungic added.

“We also have a selection of self-development and mindfulness books for clients to browse and read in their own time. By investing in your mind, you will leave our spa not only rejuvenated but also inspired.”

INNOVATIVE THERAPIES

Indulgent bespoke therapies include customised treatments utilising natural ingredients alongside some of the finest skincare brands found anywhere. For instance, the Elemis Pro Collagen Age-Defying Facial, AED 600, contains red coral and Padina pavonica algae, known as Peacock’s Tail, while the organic oils used in the Soul Signature Massage, AED 500, leave the skin feeling supple. The spa’s Arabian Dream Ritual, AED 750, involves exfoliation with a scrub of fine Arabica coffee, ginger and invigorating lime to tackle stubborn cellulite, wrinkles and blemishes before a blend of warm essential oils is applied for suppleness and strength. Another offering, the Thousand-Flower Detox Wrap, AED 550, contains nourishing green tea balm to restore equilibrium and energy.

Lovebirds can celebrate special occasions in a treatment room made for two. VIP personalised couples’ experiences, priced from AED 1,500, can be arranged, with romantic flourishes such as French fizz, chocolates, a rose petal-filled Jacuzzi and even gourmet cuisine followed by the Soul Spa signature massage.

Soul Wellness & Spa also offers yoga – and until 15 February it will be priced just AED 80 per hour. Styles include the classic hatha discipline as well as the faster-paced vinyasa, which emphasises flowing movement between postures to build muscle tone and strength. On 31 January, a full-moon yoga class will be held by the swimming pool; twice-weekly sunrise sessions are also planned.

One of the spa’s quirkier offerings is its monthly mandala-colouring workshops. Mandalas are centuries-old circular patterns used as tools of contemplation. In line with the current vogue for grown-up colouring books, the venue will provide paper printed with these intricate designs and provide art materials with which to shade them in.

Jungic added: “Soul Wellness & Spa’s services are intended to reduce stress, promote wellbeing and help people focus on the ‘here and now’.

“Our entire team is passionate and loving what they do, we hope to inspire people by not only focusing on their face and body but their mind and soul.”
