In addition, the event reflects DED-Ajman's support for consumer rights protection as a common goal among GCC countries, which serves as a main pillar of the move to develop a key system to achieve a balance between consumers and investors.

His Excellency (H.E.) Abdullah Bin Naser Al Nuaimi, Assistant Director General for Economic Registration and Control, said, “DED-Ajman's celebration of Gulf Consumer Protection Day shows our recognition of the day's importance, which is to help enhance consumer awareness about their rights and duties; the need to combat commercial fraud and the move to ensure the quality and safety of products in the market today. We commit ourselves to promoting public awareness and sharing all laws and regulations related to consumer protection rights while also encouraging them to cooperate with the official authorities and to help in reducing the commercial practices that may affect the rights of the consumer badly and minimizing the negative effects of this phenomena.”
