Dubai Land Department kicks off ‘FIABCI World Congress 2018 - Dubai'
- Bin Mejren: The FIABCI World Congress translates our leadership’s vision, highlights our expertise in hosting prestigious international events, and represents yet another achievement for Dubai
- The event is expected to attract more than 1,500 international real estate experts and delegates from across the world
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 29th April 2018: Dubai Land Department (DLD) today kicked off the 69th edition of the ‘FIABCI World Congress 2018 - Dubai’ under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The conference, which is being held for the first time in the MENA region under a ‘Happy Cities’ theme, will run for three days until 2nd May at the Maktoum Hall of the World Trade Centre.
His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, said: “We are proud to be organising this international event in Dubai and the MENA region for the first time, which is a new milestone in achieving the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to position Dubai as the top global destination for real estate innovation.
The current edition of the FIABCI World Congress is yet another new achievement for Dubai, as our city has deservingly been selected as the ideal location for discussing and exploring the concept of ‘Happy Cities’.”
Bin Mejren added: “We look forward to a successful event attended by a high number of international delegates, as we believe this will help us to showcase Dubai’s achievements on the global stage.
The conference will further strengthen Dubai's real estate reputation and enhance long-term investor confidence by promoting our innovative and sustainable global real estate environment.

During the ‘FIABCI World Congress 2018 - Dubai’, more than 70 speakers from 20 countries will gather to discuss a series of important topics.
On the first day, the agenda focuses on how to plan future cities across world, with key sessions dedicated to ‘Real Estate and Happiness’, ‘Happy Cities and the Future’, ‘Urban Planning for Happiness’ and ‘Happy Communities’.
Over 1,500 international real estate experts and delegates from 70 countries will be able to follow the conference agenda, enriching the discussions with a wealth of global expertise and viewpoints.

Through the ‘FIABCI World Congress 2018 - Dubai’, DLD will inform participants about Dubai's experience and achievements across all aspects of the real estate sector.
The comprehensive programme has been designed to showcase Dubai’s real estate strategy and highlight the Emirate’s pivotal role in driving global economic development, as well as its keenness to share its expertise with the world and cooperate with foreign countries across various fields.
The event has secured sponsorship from both the public and private sectors, with the Roads and Transport Authority as the Supporting Partner, Dubai Tourism as the Official Partner, and Dubai Properties as the Strategic Partner.
