The Dubai Business Women Council enhances the skills of its members through the 'Spirit of Zayed' initiative

By partnering with leading international companies to develop the expertise of the programme’s participants

Dubai, UAE, June 12, 2018:  In conjunction with 'Zayed Humanitarian Day' and the ‘Year of Zayed’, The Dubai Business Women Council has partnered with leading international companies to offer the 'Spirit of Zayed' mentorship programme, which represents an initiative that gives working women the skills and expertise that they need to excel and innovate. 

The 'Spirit of Zayed' mentorship programme, which was first launched at the beginning of the year, has formed strategic partnerships with a variety of local and international leading companies, in addition to experts that work in various sectors, to benefit women by offering free consultations that helps them to apply the best practices in their specialties.

The programme attracted the participation of 18 members of the council, all of whom are business women that represent various sectors, such as tourism, hospitality, trade, consulting, healthcare, education and the media.

The programme also features the participation of 16 mentors that represent multinational companies such as JP Morgan, Société Générale, Naseba, ICON plc, and Expo 2020 Dubai among others.

Dr. Raja Al Gurg, President of the Dubai Business Women Council, pointed out that the partnerships with the leading international organizations reflect the council’s status and reputation as a leading platform for supporting business women in the region. She added that the programme has succeeded in developing the skills that business women need to thrive in their fields.

Al Gurg added, “The programme is a valuable gift from the council to its members during the Year of Zayed. At the end of this year, we look forward to celebrating the business women that have gained additional skills and expertise that will help them succeed in their careers. The council will also continue to launch initiatives that help enhance the competitiveness of our members in the country’s labour market.”
