The Swiss watchmaker signals its return to motor racing as a partner to Aston Martin Racing.

Dubai, UAE, June 19, 2018:  The 24 Hours of Le Mans is under way! One of the most prestigious races in the motor racing world got under way at 3 o'clock this afternoon. On the starting grid was the Aston Martin Racing team, which TAG Heuer is partnering as part of its agreement with Aston Martin.

The Swiss watchmaker is in attendance all weekend, accompanied by the popular motoring influencer and friend of the brand, Supercar Blondie. Following a visit to the Gulf Racing garages and the team of the actor and brand ambassador, Patrick Dempsey, she enjoyed a tour of the Aston Martin Racing team garages, accompanied by some of the drivers, a few hours before the much-anticipated start of this intense race.

To mark the occasion, and to signal its support for the team, Supercar Blondie wore the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin, inspired by the world of Aston Martin Racing. The TAG Heuer Formula 1 is TAG Heuer's ultimate motor racing model, synonymous with performance and speed. Entirely in steel and measuring 43 mm in diameter, this quartz chronograph features a notched steel bezel and an aluminium ring with a tachymeter scale. The indexes, second hand and Aston Martin's famous winged logo all don Aston Martin Racing's specific lime essence tone, standing out against the watch's black dial to beautiful effect. The movement is accurate to a tenth of a second – an indispensable feature in a motor racing watch – and is displayed on the small counter at 6 o'clock, with the minute counter at 9 o'clock and the current seconds counter at 3 o'clock. This model comes with a magnificent black leather strap. In another Aston Martin exclusive, for the first time, the Swiss watchmaker has paired a leather strap with a TAG Heuer Formula 1 model. With its 'lime-essence' stitching, the strap makes for an even sportier and more striking watch.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Aston Martin is available for 1600 CHF/1500 EUR/1350 GBP/1650 USD from TAG Heuer boutiques and official resellers.

Also a partner to Gulf Oil, TAG Heuer wishes the best of luck to the Gulf Racing team, as well as brand ambassador Patrick Dempsey and his team.
