6-Day SCTDA Tour Guide Training Program Conducted by SUC

July 19, 2018:  Skyline University College has signed an agreement with Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority as the official Tour Guide Training Program provider for Sharjah tour guides. The agreement was signed by SCTDA Chairman, Mr. Khalid Jasim Al Midfa and SUC Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Council, Mr. Nitin Anand. The pilot run of the proposed program was conducted on June 20, 2018 at the SCTDA Office while the initial 6-day Tour Guide Training Program was conducted from June 24, 2018 to July 1, 2018 at SUC Campus.

 Various topics were covered during the 6-day training program such as: UAE Tourism, Sharjah History, Sharjah Tourist Attractions, Heritage and Culture, Presentation Skills, Tourism Marketing, Innovation in Tourism, Reputation, Management, First-Aid Training, Happiness, and Stress Management. The resource speakers of the program were: Head of Academics-School of Business, Dr. Ajith Kumar; Head of Student Affairs, Dr. Osama Ali Thawabeh; Professor, Dr. Amitabh Upadhya; Associate Professor, Dr. Mohit Vij; Associate Professor, Dr. Riktesh Srivastava; and Assistant Professor, Dr. Kakul Agha. 

At the end of the program, the participants were required to complete a Presentation Exam to apply what they have learned and evaluate their performances.
