#happyhair with Kaya is for everyone, not just those with severe hair issues

September 11, 2018 - Dubai, UAE: The hair loss phenomenon appears to be hitting the Gulf harder than most countries where factors such as excessive exposure to heat, light and humidity for the most part of the year, coupled with lifestyle choices, and of course high stress levels. Add to these salon visits every month for a hair colouring appointment, blow dries every other day of the week for an important work meeting or a night out, straightening and other chemical-based hair treatments – all triggers for what is ultimately leading to this worrying increase in follicular fallout especially among the 21–40 age bracket.

In response to these rapid lifestyle changes affecting hair health, international hair and skin care experts, Kaya Skin Clinic, have taken their approach to haircare to the next level with the introduction of what they are calling ‘Hair Strength Therapies’.

Sharing Kaya’s customer insights, hair expert Dr. Maher Saleh, said: “There are so many combined factors here in the Gulf and Middle East that cause higher-than-average rates of hair loss. We have spoken to a lot of women across our clinics and asked them if they were happy with their hair. The answer is mostly ‘no’ with few exceptions. Their issues range from thickness & texture to quality, and bad hair days are a common topic of discussion among friends.

“Where most people make a mistake is that they consult a doctor only when they experience severe thinning. The new line of hair therapies at Kaya is an attempt to change this mindset. We want to increase people’s awareness about the fact that an expert hair assessment early in the day to identify problem areas – be it genetic or lifestyle induced – is key. Our hair strength therapies combine topical medication, specialized products & customized treatments like advanced Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP), Mesotherapy and Hair cell activation treatments that have been designed to tackle hair issues at its roots, and starting these treatments with the first signs of deteriorating hair quality keeps the issue from advancing.”

#happyhair with Kaya

In this region where the weather and water are seldom, if ever, hair-friendly, taking care of your hair is of paramount importance. With the #happyhair with Kaya campaign backed by the biggest team of dermatologists in the region are shifting focus from desperate attempts at trying to reverse excessive hair loss to a more preventive approach of ‘hair strengthening’.

“The whole concept of #happyhair with Kaya is a product of our consumer research and surveys carried out among our customers. It is a bid to offer them the functional benefit of strong hair fortified at its roots, which is an amalgamation of all positive hair features like volume, shine, length, hydration, etc. These are qualities every individual dreams their hair will possess, not only those that are inflicted by hair loss,” Dr. Saleh added.

Yes, Kaya are hair specialists too

Many people are unaware that dermatologists are certified scalp and hair experts; this is not just the domain of a trichologist. Over the years, Kaya Skin Clinic has gained a fierce reputation for being an authority in the region for skincare treatments. Not everyone in the region is aware that their new line of hair strengthening and rejuvenation therapies fills the big gap between the multitude of hair products and a hair transplant, which prevent hair quality from worsening and restoring and sustaining its wellness.

Stressing on the importance of the fact that their hair therapies are for everyone who want good quality and strong hair, Dr. Saleh observed: “Hair is one of the most important bodily features that completes a human being. The constant and visible depletion of its volume, strength and vitality can be viewed as a personal attack, and in some cases leads to depleted self-worth or sometimes even depression. We have launched extremely effective hair strengthening and rejuvenation services, which can be personalised to every client’s needs and requirements, whether they are taking a preventive or a curative approach.”
