DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 1st October, 2018 A10 Networks (NYSE: ATEN), a provider of intelligent and automated cybersecurity solutions, successfully hosted its inaugural Middle East Executive Summit with the theme ‘Automate Your Defenses - Rethinking Security in a Smart World’ at the One & Only Royal Mirage hotel in Dubai on the 17th of September, 2018.

Speaking to more than 100 attendees at the event, Lee Chen, founder and CEO of A10 Networks expressed his gratitude to partners and customers for their continued support. He also provided insights into the massive transformations in 5G, cloud and security and what organizations need to do to protect against the deluge of modern cyber-attacks and ended his keynote with the company’s roadmap and vision for the future.

“Applications are moving to the Cloud. 5G with up to 10 Gb/s of bandwidth and lower latency will be disruptive to many industries and create a connected and smarter world. However, cyber-attacks are on the rise. Modern DDoS attacks are on average four times more powerful than two years ago. Attackers use cutting-edge techniques to disrupt services. Defense strategies need to evolve. Intelligent automation driven security solutions leveraging deep machine learning are a must to combat new cyber threats effectively,” said Mr. Chen.

Speaking about the  company’s increasing focus and investment into the Middle East, Anthony Webb, recently appointed Vice President of EMEA Sales at A10 Networks says, “We have historically had a lot of success in the service provider segment and are now looking to replicate the same success in the enterprise market which is where we see huge growth potential. In order to able to scale to that level, we need a strong and reliable partner network (A10 is a 100% channel driven organization), and as such we are looking to invest more in channel resources in the region, including channel management and marketing personnel. We are also investing significantly in our partner programme, aimed at enabling partners through training and certification and are looking to introduce a deal registration programme. On the solutions front, we have brought a lot of new product innovations to market in the last six months in the areas of cloud, cybersecurity and 5G. Finally we are looking at ways to enhance our local professional services support in Saudi and UAE which will also serve the larger GCC region. All of this we believe will create a solid base that will enable us to achieve the aggressive growth target we have set for ourselves in this region.”

As part of the event, A10 Networks organized a partner award ceremony where key partners were honoured for excelling in the marketplace and contributing to growing A10’s regional business.
