Latin: 

Salsa, Bachata & Kizomba

Salsa is James & Alex’s main dance style and is a fast-rhythmic dance with dynamic part-ner work, intricate footwork and powerful body movement which also makes it one of the most popular dance styles around. At the studio, they teach a mix of LA and New York style sal-sa, focusing on leading, 
following and technique to help you progress to the next level.  Bachata is a partner dance origi-nating from the Dominican Republic. It has gained popularity world-wide and bachata music is be-coming more mainstream than ever, thanks to rising bachata artists such as Romeo Santos and Prince Royce, with collaborations with popular singers such as Usher & Snoop Dogg.

Street: 

Hip Hop, Street Dance, Reggaeton and Afro Reggaeton

Hip Hop as a dance form comes in many different styles including Street Dance, Reggaeton and Afro Reggaeton, each offering a wide array of interpretation from dancers. From break dancing, to lyrical, to locking, Hip Hop has a style for everyone. At the James & Alex Dance Studios you can discover the diversity behind this versatile dance style, with tailored classes that will show you in detail just how it’s done.

Classical:

Ballet, Pointe and Contemporary

Ballet is known to be the foundation of many dance styles. It is a highly technical dance but is also a great way to get fit, tone muscles and improve posture. The James & Alex Dance Studios offer various levels of ballet classes for adults, from beginner to intermediate, to Pointe. Contemporary dance incorporates elements from various styles of dance, namely classical, modern and jazz. It combines ballet technique, floor work, improvisation and characteristics of modern dance. It has also become one of the most popular dance forms for trained dancers. Suitable for people of all abilities and ages, Ballet and Contemporary dance focus on strength training and flexibility.

Fitness: 

Hatha Yoga, Aerial Yoga and Zumba

Aerial yoga is a modern style of yoga that incorporates a low-hanging soft fabric hammock to ex-plore alignment, release chronic tension, hang upside down, and have fun! It’s appropriate for people of all abilities, including beginners with no experience.  For the experienced, the aerial fac-tor adds a new dimension to complement your existing practice on the ground. For those with lit-tle or no experience, aerial is a great place to start. Every class includes decompression, supported inversions, core and upper body strengthening, deep relaxation, and of course, lots of smiles! Zumba is a Latin-inspired cardio dance workout class suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It improves your cardio, coordination and overall physical fitness. In this class, you can get ready to dance to a variety of music from Latin to African beats, to hip hop and pop!

The cost of each one-hour class is AED 70 and a 90-minute class is priced at AED 100. Packages can also be purchased with a 12-hour package costing AED 690 which is valid for 5 months. A 24-hour class package is AED 1,260 which is valid for 10 months. 

In addition, James & Alex Dance Studios offer monthly 4-week courses for Salsa and Bachata priced at AED 250 for once a week and AED 400 for twice a week. James & Alex Dance Studios have also partnered with GuavaPass, as well as Emirates Platinum. 

James & Alex Dance Studios are located in the heart of Dubai Media City, and boast three stunning studios and 4,000 square feet of space. The studios are open Sunday to Thursday between 2pm and 10pm, and Saturday between 10am and 10pm.
