Many people especially professionals are moving to Dubai while many more are considering to do so. It’s clear to see why Dubai is such an appealing place for professionals, it has the best infrastructure, businesses over there offer workers some exceptional remuneration packages and it’s highly conservative meaning those who want to live in a calm, serene and peaceful environment are able to do so. However, deciding to move to Dubai should not just be a hash decision, there are many things that one needs to consider including the following.

 Dubai is Hot

The first thing that we have to say about Dubai is that it is very hot especially in the summer. Temperatures can easily eclipse 45 degree Celsius! While everyone moving to Dubai ought to know this, the beauty of Dubai is that every building and facility including bus stops are air-conditioned. This, therefore, means that you may not feel the stifling temperatures if you are going to spend much of your time in the office or in your apartment. Sometimes, the air conditioning may go overdrive meaning that you will actually need a jersey to warm up!

Conservative but at the same time highly westernized

Dubai is a conservative society just like most other Emirates. However, what differentiates Dubai from other Emirates is that it is also highly westernized meaning that professionals looking to move to Dubai from the western world need not worry about culture shock and the like. In terms of language, most locals can speak fluent English. Due to the high number of expats, there are also many restaurants that serve western dishes. Perhaps the most symbolic element of Dubai’s westernization is the fact that alcohol is regulated meaning that one can buy and consume alcohol. Dubai’s westernization also entails that you can engage in activities such as online gambling at several online casinos that offer the best casino bonus UK 2018.

Tax-Free Emirate

We have already alluded to the fact that Dubai businesses offer some high remuneration packages to its workers right. Well, just to make it more appealing to employees, workers in Dubai are not taxed! Yes, you heard that right, as a worker in Dubai, you won’t pay any taxes. The tax-free policy is exclusive to all sectors.

Accommodation is a bit pricey

Apart from the extreme heat, the only other thing that makes Dubai an unattractive proposition is accommodation. Property owners in Dubai tend to charge their rents on an annual basis (and the prices are steep). It’s possible though to negotiate with the property owner so that you pay on a quarterly or even monthly basis but when you do that, you will have to pay a premium.

Driving

When it comes to driving licenses, Dubai virtually allows licenses from most countries across the world. You can continue using your home country license until your residency becomes official. Though Dubai has a reliable metro and train system in addition to affordable taxis, it’s always better to drive. There are several car rentals spread across Dubai and it’s advisable to rent a car so that you can move freely without any disturbances.
