Partnered with Union Insurance to deliver ‘Home Protection Plan’ for all eLife customers

Abu Dhabi, 12 December 2018:   Etisalat today announced a new insurance offering - ‘Home Protection Plan’ for all eLife home customers to provide a hassle-free option, making sure all household goods are insured for just AED 10 per month.

The new insurance plan provides coverage of up to AED 50,000 to eLife customers giving them complete protection of their home contents. The general market price for similar insurance plans may cost over AED 300 a year, offering subscribers savings of over 50 percent on their premiums. Subscribers of this plan have a unique benefit of having small monthly payments instead of high annual premium payment. Moreover, no surveys and no minimum commitment are required to qualify for this insurance plan.

“At Etisalat we are constantly looking out for ways to enrich our customer’s lives, delivering products that are both innovative and that take the hassle out of day-to-day life. Home insurance should be accessible to everyone and we are proud to bring one of the most affordable solutions to the UAE market,” said Jonathan Haysom, Vice President Home Products, Etisalat.

“Subscription is fast and easy; customers can simply call us at 800101 or visit any Etisalat store to get the plan attached instantly. Once enabled the service will give our customers the peace of mind, knowing that their home contents are covered should the worst occur.”

Etisalat partnered with UAE-based Union Insurance Company to cover all household goods and other items such as furniture, fixtures, clothing and electronics located within the premises against fire, flood, accidental damage and even theft. Subscribers can also claim for the costs incurred against the loss of their personal documents including that of any employed domestic helper. The ‘Home Protection Plan’ also gives subscribers the facility to claim reimbursement for any alternate accommodation in case of their home becoming uninhabitable, for up to 15 days following the accident.

Customers can view the details of the ‘Home Protection Plan’ in their monthly Etisalat bill. Settlement is also made simple at the time of a claim, as eLife subscribers will have to only quote their policy number and present the latest eLife bill to the Union Insurance company to initiate the settlement process.
