The Most Beautiful Beaches of Dubai
Caption: Dubai has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world
January 07, 2019 - Dubai, UAE:
Dubai might be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but it isn’t just the cosmopolitan cityscape that brings the tourists to town. The beaches of Dubai are equally as extravagant and luxurious as the rest of this magnificent city. The combination of the warm azure waters of the Arabian Gulf with the soft, gleaming white sands of the coastline means that Dubai is a must-see for new and seasoned travellers alike.
There is a selection of beaches to choose from, but it is worth remembering that a portion of the coastline is dedicated to private beaches for luxury beachfront resorts. The public beaches are equally as appealing, with one of them featuring the Burj Al Arab, one of the most photographed landmarks in the world, as a backdrop. From stunning sunsets to the bustling nightlife, there is a beach for every occasion in Dubai.
Kite Beach
As its name might suggest, this beach is hugely popular with kite surfers as well as stand-up paddle boarders, beach volleyballers, and kayakers. Possibly the sportiest beach in Dubai, the conditions in this particular part of the area make it perfect for trying out a new hobby. Hire equipment or book lessons from the wide variety of shops, such as Surf House Dubai. There are also plenty of other attractions here, such as an outdoor trampoline, a skate park, and a play area for small children.
The Beach - Jumeirah Beach Residence
A relatively new complex of shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainment facilities, The Beach at Jumeirah Beach Residence is one of the most popular beaches in town. Taking inspiration from other famous beach resorts such as the Viña del Mar resort in Chile or La Barceloneta Beach in Spain, The Beach at JBR is surrounded by juice bars, burger joints, trendy cafes, and swanky bars where beachgoers can take a break from the midday sun and grab a bite to eat. There are also plenty of water sports available, from banana boating to the Dubai Aqua Park, making it one for the whole family.
Umm Suqeim Park Beach
Not too far from Kite Beach is another public beach with the most amazing views of the iconic Burj Al Arab Hotel. Perfect for families and tourists looking for their obligatory photograph of the world-famous hotel, there is something for everyone on this beautiful stretch of coastline. Located behind Sunset Mall, earning itself the nickname Sunset Beach, Umm Suqeim has stunning views of the colourful kites at Kite Beach and provides a tranquil escape from the bustling city.

Black Palace Beach
For some seriously quiet beach time, the Black Palace Beach offers beautiful views of the Burj Al Arab and the Palm Jumeirah away from the crowds. Regarded as a well-kept secret, the facilities here are limited but that is part of the beach’s appeal as it keeps visitors to a minimum. The pristine sands, gorgeous azure waters and untouched coastline make this one of the most beautiful beaches in Dubai. Playing volleyball here is considered an absolute must, so don’t forget to bring your A-game! There is plenty of free parking and lifeguards are usually on duty.
Al Mamzar Beach Park
A gorgeous landscaped park encompassing a string of five stunning sandy beaches and acres of lush green spaces, Al Mamzar Beach Park is one of the city’s hidden treasures. Covering an impressive 100 hectares, the park offers a myriad of activities and entertainment options. From children’s play parks to jet-skiing and sunbathing, the whole family will love everything about this beautiful part of the world. A scenic train takes visitors around the park, allowing them to take in the amazing landscape and stunning vegetation. The beach is equally as beautiful, with sun loungers and umbrellas available for hire along with air-conditioned beach huts.
Whether you are looking for a day away from the city or a beach-based family holiday, the beaches of Dubai offer everything visitors could need and much, much more. From soaking in the crystal-clear waters to sampling food at one of the multitudes of eateries, there is a beach for everyone and everything in Dubai.
