DTAC is the real showcase of happiness by being together, learning from each other and celebrating the success of winners in the Toastmasters community.

DUBAI – February 4, 2019: Toastmasters International District 105, which represents the UAE, Oman, Jordan and Lebanon, announced District Toastmasters Annual Conference 2019 to be staged in Dubai to celebrate winning leadership and communication that inspire Toastmasters to embrace success by continuous learning.

Themed ‘Communicating Happiness’, the DTAC 2019 Dubai is the trailblazing conference of Toastmasters District 105, in line with the UAE’s commitment towards achieving happiness goals of individuals and the society. The three-day long event will be held from April 25 to 27, 2019 at Le Méridien Dubai Airport Road. The event will be managed by Yellow Balcony Events.  

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that empowers its members with public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. The community of Toastmasters in the UAE is strong with more than 3,000 members across a network of 130 clubs. 

The best of speakers from the regional Toastmasters community will compete for the title of District 105 Champion of Public Speaking in front of an audience exceeding 1,000. An unrivalled international line-up of keynote speakers will bring their experience and learnings to the event.  

Commenting on the mega conference, Lt. Col. DTM Mohammed Murad, Past Global President Toastmasters International, said, “This year, Dubai is hosting the community of Toastmasters from four regional nations. The DTAC 2019 Dubai aims to nurture core communication and leadership values in Toastmasters and instill positivity to help them achieve personal and professional goals. This is a festival to celebrate happiness in communication and leadership by collaborating learnings, friendships and exchanging experience.” 

DTM Balaji Nagabhushan, Director of District 105 Toastmasters, said, “We are proud to host DTAC 2019 in Dubai. Toastmasters always meet for a reason and for a life time. DTAC is the celebration of a global path of communication competency, passionate leadership, self-motivated education, and self-developed skills. Each year Toastmasters International organizes an annual convention in the region.” 

Deepak Gulati, Chairman of DTAC 2019 Dubai, said, “The mega event of District 105 is unfolding each day and we stay true to our theme – ‘Communicating Happiness’. The DTAC, showcasing hundreds of contestants from the region, is the culmination of the District contest season to support Toastmasters champions and enjoy high quality speeches. The summit also will be an annual experience of education and restoration for the participants spending quality time with speakers, entertainers and teachers from across the globe.” 

DTM Murad added, “The only way to true happiness is embracing true leadership. DTAC is a leadership experience. Toastmasters has achieved a superlative growth in the UAE. It has played a major role in shaping young leaders in the UAE. As Toastmasters we have the wonderful opportunity to communicate this happiness in the stories that we share and the service that we offer to the global community that we belong to, Toastmasters International.”
