Hisense® aims higher with Global Sponsorship of UEFA EURO 2020™

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 4, 2019:   Hisense®, a leading television and appliance manufacturer has announced its global partnership deal with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for Men’s National Team Football competitions ahead of the UEFA EURO 2020™. In the 60th year of the tournament, this is the second time the Chinese giant has filled the position to be a Global Partner among other UEFA sponsors following a successful UEFA EURO 2016™ campaign. 

As a global partner, Hisense will engage in various global marketing and advertising activities to coincide with UEFA EURO 2020™. In addition, Hisense televisions will be the official television suppliers of the competition. It is expected that the partnership will see Hisense reach over 200 territories and greatly enhance its international brand exposure. 

Commenting on the global partnership, Mr. Fazalur Rahman, Marketing Director, Hisense Middle East said, “Hisense is witnessing a strong increase in brand awareness through sports sponsorships and we are excited to be a part of the 2020 UEFA European Football Champions. It will be held for the first time in 12 cities in 12 countries in Europe. This is indeed a major global initiative by Hisense, right after finishing a highly successful 2018 FIFA World Cup Sponsorship. We plan to keep the momentum high and continue Hisense’s winning streak through global sports marketing”.

 “UEFA is one of six football confederations which make up FIFA and we are very proud to be associated with them,” he added. 

Part of Hisense’s international strategy has been to actively engage in sports marketing to raise brand awareness. Hisense has sponsored major sporting events and teams, including UEFA EURO 2016™, 2018 FIFA World Cup™, the Australian Open, Red Bull Racing F1 Team, NASCAR’s XFINITY series, Joe Gibbs Racing and German football club FC Schalke 04.

Hisense is enjoying No. 1 TV market share in China market for the last 14 years, and its success in China has helped to support the rapid expansion of its international business. Today Hisense products are sold in over130 countries, with 54 overseas companies and 14 production bases around the world. Hisense is currently ranked as 4th Largest Global Electronics Brand in terms of global shipments.
