Karl Lagerfeld and Puma Introduce Two Special-Edition Sneakers
The sporty-chic designs for men and women both feature a playful dot pattern.
May 15, 2019 - Dubai, UAE: KARL LAGERFELD and PUMA announce they are collaborating to introduce two special-edition sneakers for men and women, launching worldwide on May 16, 2019. The collectible shoes fuse PUMA's streetwise swagger with a touch of KARL's classic sophistication. The launch follows the global success of the first collaboration between the two brands in 2018.
Covered in a playful polka dot pattern, the sporty-chic designs are crafted from soft leather to combine comfort and style. With a contemporary yet youthful aesthetic, they reflect KARL LAGERFELD's signature DNA with distinct shades of black and white. The silhouette, called the Roma, was first introduced by PUMA in 1968 as a track shoe and has been reissued today.
The collaboration features two designs: a unisex Roma and a Roma Armor for women. The unisex style is built with a soft leather upper and a KARL LAGERFELD graphic on its side. The women's sneaker features a satin finished upper and unique graphics of the KARL LAGERFELD logo. Both have a die-cut stacked midsole decked with oversized KARL LAGERFELD branding.
The KARL LAGERFELD x PUMA sneakers will prelaunch on KARL.COM and PUMA.COM on May 15, and will launch worldwide on May 16 at KARL LAGERFELD and PUMA retail stores and via select retailers.
