Volvo's Car configurator tool now allows for a high degree of personalization
Customers can customize their dream Volvo model with multiple combinations and options
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 30 May 2019: Trading Enterprises – Volvo, the exclusive distributor of Volvo vehicles in the UAE, is now offering customers additional flexibility of configuring their Volvo vehicle with the recently launched configurator tool that is now available at volvocars.com/en-ae/build.
The car configurator tool allows customers to configure their choice of Volvo model with different engines and trim levels together with various possible combinations of colours, wheels, upholstery, exterior styling, packages and options available. The configurator offers an easy, interactive and premium experience by creating a final rendering of choices showing interior and exterior of the configured car.
Once the configuration is complete, the consumer receives a summary of configuration details that can be downloaded and saved through a uniquely generated code or shared by email and social media channels with the rendered images.
“Our industry is changing. Rather than just building and selling cars, we will really provide our customers with the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable and safe way,” said Håkan Samuelsson, chief executive of Volvo Cars. “We offer our customers access to a car, including new attractive services whenever and wherever they want it.”
Fardeen Sara, General Manager of Trading Enterprises, said, “The biggest revolution currently underway in the car industry is happening in the customer journey. Customers prefer going from website to website rather than going from dealership to dealership. This makes it critical for us to focus on digital leadership and personalize customer experience by bringing cars to customers in the way they want them.”
Globally, Volvo Cars continue to lead the disruption under its new company mission ‘Freedom to Move’ by offering safe, personal and sustainable mobility services rather than traditional retailing. By the middle of the next decade, the company’s aim is to generate half of all annual sales from fully electric cars, while one-third from autonomous cars and establish over five million direct consumer relationships.
As the starting point, Volvo Cars UAE website was recently transformed from simply a source of information to a brand experience in which every screen and every single piece of information is laid out in a Volvo way and in line with the Volvo brand and values.
