MoHAP Youth Council Interviews Zainab Al Bloushi “Winner of Happiness and Positivity Medal” After Saving Life of Five Persons
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 08 July 2019: The Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Youth Council (MoHAP’s Youth Council) hosted and interviewed recently, the volunteer Zainab Al Bloushi, the winner of “Happiness and Positivity Medal”.
The interview comes as part of “60 Minutes with Inspiring Character” event aiming to shed more light on the positive and distinguished stories of Emirati youth, so as to form a great motivation for the next generations and future youth.
The interview with Zainab Al Bloushi featured her experience in saving the lives of five persons who had a car accident on Maliha-Sharjah road.
Commenting on this heroic story, Al Bloushi said: “Thanks to my participation in SANID – National Emergency Response Volunteer Program – I managed to employ all my ambulatory and voluntary expertise in providing the injured persons with the necessary first aids.”
Al Bloushi also contributed to providing first aids to 15 persons in another road traffic accident and saving the life of some persons from drowning.
Strengthening Social Responsibility Among Youth
Al Bloushi expressed her pride after being honored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, following her attainment of Heroes of Positivity and Happiness Medal.
She called on the youth to join volunteer work and to exploit their energy for the benefit of society, as well as to underpin social responsibility as a positive culture encouraged by government authorities. This would help consolidate the social solidarity principle in various occasions through the national volunteer platform.
Positive Motivation for Youth
In turn, Dr. Sultan Sharif, Chairman of MoHAP’s Youth Council, said: “This event aims at learning closely about the stories of Emirati youth. Today, we showcased the inspirational story of Zainab Al Bloushi, an employee at MoHAP’s Training & Development Center, with a view to motivating youth to adopt social responsibility values. Also, such events, organized by MoHAP’s Youth Council, would help open communication channels with the national competencies and get inspired by their successful stories.”
The “60 Minutes with Inspiring Character” event has been launched earlier this year, as part of a series of initiatives by MoHAP’s Youth Council, in conjunction with the Year of Tolerance and in accordance with the Council’s plans aiming to enhance constructive intellectual communication based on sharing practical, professional and volunteer experiences.
