Dubai, United Arab Emirates -  04, August 2019:    Washing the hair is a lot like washing skin – water can remove most visible dirt and debris, but might not eliminate odors or oily deposits. Shampoo, on the other hand, helps water eliminate dirt, debris, and odors, such as smoke or sweat effectively. But shampoos also remove natural oils received from sebaceous glands that secrete oil called sebum, which keeps the hair moisturized.

How shampoo can damage your hair

While many not know it, frequent use of shampoo can cause considerable harm to our hair. Shampoo cleans the hair with chemicals called ‘surfactants’ – these are soaps that remove surface debris from the scalp and hair. Most shampoos use surfactants that cause the foaming and cleanse the hair.

The same surfactants wash away the natural oils from your hair and scalp leaving the hair dry, coarse and prone to hair problems such as hair loss, dandruff and split ends.

Many shampoos also contain compounds called sulfates, which produce a rich lather that removes oil from the hair. This can help the hair look cleaner, but it can also damage the hair. The washing of hair with surfactants is in many ways similar to our clothes being washed with detergent. Repeated and frequent wash starts to show on the cloth as it takes on the dry worn-out look.

Keeping at least some oil on the hair is important to protect the hair from damage. Some people opt to use sulfate-free or moisturizing shampoos to preserve hair health, although there is little evidence that sulfate-free shampoos are less aggressive than regular products.

Some people choose to reduce the number of times they wash their hair while others advocate giving up shampoo altogether.

Why cutting out shampoo won't repair your damaged hair

Are we going to give up shampoo usage anytime soon? Seems unlikely. In that case, how can we reinstate the lost natural oils and keep our hair moisturized?
We all know that conditioner is key when it comes to giving your hair the kind of moisture it needs to thrive. But is conditioner alone enough when you're trying to nurse your damaged hair back to health?

One solution would be to apply oil on the hair after every wash and leave it on through the day. But many of us don’t want to step out with a clumpy, oily bunch of hair!

While we may not have an alternative to shampoo, thankfully we have an option to replenish the lost moisture in our hair. After shampooing our hair, when the hair are still moist, you could apply a layer of hair cream along the length of the hair. Hair cream coats the hair with a layer of oil and locks in the moisture. A cream with a good mix of oils and nutrients provides you with the safety shield that protects your hair the whole day.
This unique formulation of natural oils and rich ingredients such as olive, henna and almond among others, provides the hair with the nourishment they need and helps prevent hair problems.

Vatika Hair Creams – Moisture Lock

When applied on damp hair, Vatika Hair Cream with its unique formulation of natural oils and potent natural ingredients forms a non-sticky layer on your hair and locks in the moisture. Moisturized hair are proven to be better protected against common hair problems as compared to dry hair.

So effective is the formulation of Vatika Hair Cream that lab tests have confirmed Vatika Hair Cream’s ability to make hair twice as stronger.

Benefits of Vatika Hair Cream

Hair cream used as a moisture mask replenishes lost natural oils in addition to providing intense moisturization and gives hair a natural shine. Used after shampooing, it helps to combat frizz and keep hair well styled and groomed.
