Hannah Curran, Founder and CEO of Pure Born
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - October 21, 2019: Hannah Curran is the founder and CEO of Pure Born, a homegrown eco-friendly brand that has taken the region by storm. Now a market leader in the organic nappy category, with a legion of fans in the shape of mums and kids, Hannah has created one of the most coveted and innovate eco and ethical brands in the world, dedicated to providing eco-friendly formulas, at affordable prices.
Hannah is the true embodiment of an entrepreneur, having built Pure Born into a market leader within only two years and with aggressive growth and expansion plans over the next twelve months and beyond. Hannah started with a simple ethos of wanting to provide clean, eco-friendly solutions to mums and kids. She is now challenging the biggest nappy brands in the world with her eco-friendly nappies and stylish nappy prints, not to mention her extremely loyal and always growing fan base. Her passion for business and innovation has led to a brand that stands for and is leading the way within the eco and organic space. At only 27 and a mum, working in a male dominated industry, Hannah is changing the narrative and proving that the glass ceiling can be well and truly smashed!
Prior to launching Pure Born, Hannah lived in the UK where she was constantly inspired by her mother’s entrepreneurial drive as an owner of a successful children’s nursery. In 2011, Hannah moved to the UAE to follow in her mother’s footsteps of working with nurseries and children but soon realized a gap in the market for good quality, eco-friendly products, and hence Pure Born was created.
Aged 23, Hannah began her journey into Girl Boss territory by knocking door to door to get interest from retailers for the Pure Born nappy range, and in 2017 Baby Shop signed as her first retailer, and as they say the rest is history. With new launches, moves into new categories and impressive market growth, Pure Born is a brand that will not rest and neither will Hannah.
Hannah lives in Dubai with her son Rocco, and when not working dedicates her time to giving back to charities. As a company, Pure Born donates 5% of its annual proceeds to supporting children’s organisations around the world.
